Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
OnOne, Whilst I share any vision to decarbonise the aviation industry, Airbus is putting out a concept here. There is a roadmap to 2035 ( delays are inevitable along the way ) but don’t underestimate the detail in such a project. The industry will continue to operate its current fleet long into the future so SAF is perfect for plugging the gap.
Absolutely no doubt on SAF. Any board members or the management team who do express negative views on going green are the real ‘fossils’ and should be moved on.
Someone mentioned the all electric charging station earlier .... here is a link to a video interview. Enjoy.

Tiqitiq,
I had a European manufacturing director who when you sat in the boardroom for the monthly ops review and the plant performance reviews, wouldn’t entertain anyone saying such things as ‘I hope’ or ‘maybe’. It’s about making it happen and having a set of actions that get the required result.
I haven’t seen or heard anything concrete in the way of orders from ITM for a long time.
Today’s RNS gives the MM’s the chance to drive the price up 5% on nothing of substance. I’m still enthusiastic and liking the profit so far but when i look at the team and their experience on sales and marketing, it doesn’t fill me with confidence. Let’s hope they pull their socks up!

Video to go with the Bloomberg link that Bilbo posted earlier

So, as I mentioned recently, it would be interesting to see who gets the infrastructure build to go with this Bamford Bus order. It looks like it’s Logan Energy. Has ITM missed out again or are we just not interested?
GC is not the man for marketing, it’s not what he’s about. I know he takes every opportunity to push the use of green hydrogen and that’s a given but as first to market with a facility of this size and the advantage that comes with this, a good marketing team will be key to filling the factory. And then the roll out of this factory blueprint can be begin.
As a LTH of 10 years I’m patient enough to see a steady growth now as this industry continues to mature.
RH69 .... just to get news that the factory is open would be a start. Then as the biggest electrolyser factory on the planet, it will attract attention and secure some of the potential orders. It needs a bit of theatre and the right PR. Take a leaf out of the JCB book.

The Bamford bus gets a few more orders. Let’s see where the H2 infrastructure comes from. It would be nice to see ITM involved with their JCB connections.
Bilbo ... fair point. There's not so many manufacturers these days carrying excessive stocks in my experience. As long as they pay attention to the levels of high value stock (not the penny items) and create that ever desirable short supply chain I'm sure they will be ok. ITM recruited in this area sometime back to ensure good procurement and supply from their suppliers. I remember that they were committed to local sourcing too which is always good to hear. I will be concerned though if too much emphasis is placed by procurement on price as opposed to a local supplier with good quality and delivery credentials. I don't see this business having to compete too much on price point so we can get good UK suppliers on board. Any problems and they can be on site within hours. Good to see the whites of the eyes when there's an issue to resolve
Let’s hope so Tedjames, well done with your 31.85 buy. I’d say that’s a good deal.
I set a limit buy at 32p last night - a bit speculative I know - was out all day unable to catch up until tonight and hey ho , in the bag. Any opportunity to top up at these prices and lock them away as keepers. No panicking here!
Well done Bellers.. ‘our man in Sheffield’ ... we’ve waited for this stage. It’s going to be quite a celebration when the factory is in full production.
As much as I always enjoyed the internal fit out of a new factory, cleaning up the dietritus that inevitably builds up outside can be quite fulfilling. It signals ‘the job is done’
The ITM employees must be itching to get building those orders which haven’t been announced yet !!!

ColinH ... yes you would think the ICE days are numbered but they are still in the mix for sometime yet. Lord Bamford made his comment in the House of Lords discussion on Hydrogen on Monday. His view has a degree of clout within political circles, the family lobbies strongly (as can be seen by young Jo and Wrightbus - JCBus ) and big donor too. I do think though he’s swimming against the tide and I know he’s progressing well in the transition of his digger business to a cleaner power platform.
In terms of hundreds of thousands charging points being redundant, do you think we’ll ever get to that many actually working? At the moment there always appear to be out of order signs on many!
Lord Bamford is still of the mind that the ICE will be around for some time to come but with Hydrogen as a fuel. Could Boris concur with this to achieve his 2030 date for phasing out of petrol and diesel vehicles?
Hi toneman ... done!
Now up to 360 signatures at 11-45pm.
Someway to go but ever hopeful!
It might be worth posting on ITM too since they are obviously into forecourt activity. There is synergy here. As they said in Parliament last Friday, there is no one silver bullet !!
