FWIW I thought the interview was decent. We were told the aim was to be a “tiny team” AI factory. Nag showed us something he did on his own at low cost and which might have real commercial application. Multiply that many times over and that’s the potential here. And within the”crèche”we could get a Unicorn. And my concerns about a near term raise were also dealt with.

the only reason i could think of is that yesterday i chased for a reply to an email i sent the company the prior week asking if abdx was now a shareholder in fofh and if yates was now a director in fofh. to be frank, that’s a pretty simple thing to answer, and important given they are a significant client and the service for equity agreement was announced 15 months ago! but since listing that’s only the third time i’ve written to them.

they were prompt answering the first one

i had to chase repeatedly on the second (they then announced the raise and acquisition before doing so)

this time they are dallying again (as are walbrook), and yates has potentially blocked me!

i do wonder if perhaps this means some kind of news is in the offing.

Cyber is front and centre in the Defence Spending Review. Might not directly affect NARF in…in the short term.

But it shows how warfare has changed and how NARF sits right in the middle of it.

Apologies - admitting to a mistake here. The FDA timeline actually targets end of H2 calendar year. I think I must have been mixing it up with ABDX financial year. Stupid of me, and sorry again.

To try and be helpful

The company is run and staffed by around 20 elite experts - ex hackers, ex US military, geek types.

Such is their expertise that they’ve routinely won US Advanced Research Project Agency awards, notably from the Defence ARPA. Basically, they are engaged by the ARPA’s to conduct critical R&D to address serious Cyber threats, and then to integrate them into US govt systems. Crucially, we get to retain all the IP.

One of the DARPA R&D projects was Social Cyber. Next month that’s due to be made available across all US govt depts following acceptance onto the main govt software repository - Platform One/Iron Bank, with integration and then recurring fees due from any department wanting it. Concurrently NARF are looking to commercialise it, in conjunction with a “top tier” strategic partner yet to be announced.

And yes, for me Cyber Security, especially at the elite end like NARF, is a no brainer, and the next few months could be pivotal for the company.

I’m going to add one other tantalising point here.

The timeline in the Upfront March 2024 presentation (link below) also targets the end of June for getting FDA approval.

That ties in from this piece in May 24, when Joshua Bernstock confirmed “The team plans to start the U.S. regulatory approval process for the test later this year”.

So potentially, both CE Mark and FDA approval are just around the corner for this test (which is actually 2 LFTs) which, as described in the article, could help tackle a $2tn problem.

Thanks Reg, and some interesting thoughts on window dressing coupled with lack of insider selling. And agree MKS - little point theorising when results are just round the corner.

Anyone have any thoughts on why the company aren’t doing an IMC presentation to accompany the results, as they’ve routinely done in prior years?

Sad to say, but I can’t see this is great news…

I suppose layoffs could be the result of great AI efficiency in the business, but I think that’s clutching a little. More likely is that it’s the result of required cost cutting measures, which in turn suggests revenues haven’t been as hoped. That would tie in with the lack of any news on the ME contract.
