My take on this..

Peter Whitehurst, a founder of Arcis Bio ( https://arcisbio.com/ ) sets up his own consultancy business in March (https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/12513345), and then Agile Life Sciences Ltd in April - (https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/12553098).

Hughes and Kamani invest £2m in AVCT at the beginning of April, and Hughes goes on to set up Medusa19 later in April and Saturn Passport Ltd in June.

Visiting Www.saturnpassport.com redirects you to the Medusa19 Ltd website.

Medusa19 Life Sciences Ltd is set up by Whitehurst on 23 July. Agile is the only shareholder.

Saturn Pass Ltd is incorporated on 31 July by Hughes. It’s has a web landing page www.saturnpass.com. It talks about a patent, which nobody has yet been able to find.

So it’s seems there is a lot going on behind the scenes, and that Peter Whitehurst has some involvement. His other business, Arcis Bio, has a global distribution network https://arcisbio.com/distributors/. The other co founder of Arcis is Sapt , Bakshi who,according to his LinkedIn page, has acted as a Senior consultant to major pharmas for nearly 20 years.

Agile Solutions appears to be an entirely separate company with no involvement.

Precipio share price rocketed 469% yesterday

Do we have anyone here with expertise in patents? I ask only because the saturnpass.com site refers to “our patented solution” yet I can’t find any patent granted to the company since it was incorporated.

Quite surprised there’s little comment on this....

New “Medusa19” company incorporated last week by a guy that Co-founded and runs Arcis Biotechnology. The other co founder was a Sap Bakshi, who has been a Senior consultant to major Pharmas since 2002 including GSK (current), Abbott, Pfizer, Merck, Allergan, Procter & Gamble.

Apart from anything else, Arcis seem to have a broad Global distributor base covering Europe, Asia, US and South America - https://arcisbio.com/distributors/

Yep - am sure that the Peter W who has recently set up Medusa19 Life Sciences Ltd is the same guythat founded Arcis. Arcis looks highly reputable so don’t think there is any tomfoolery going on here.

Anyone know if this company and thereby Peter Whitehurst have anything to do with our Medusa 19 (all the pieces suggest to me they do). Seems like this chap was busy setting up other new companies in March and April too (Agile Life Sciences and PLW Consulting.

Might be nothing.....but might be something.

We have been optimising the LFT to achieve the best spec. Sounds good, and no doubt the resulting high quality test will have its own (hopefully) substantial market.

But it seems obvious that there are also substantial markets for lower quality tests, particularly if they are cheaper.

Surely though the optimisation process we will have generated tests across this quality and cost scale. On this assumption, why don’t we offer a suite of tests with different spec and price points for different markets/needs? Or is it simply the case that the lower spec tests we have produced along the way cost roughly the same, hence the drive for quality?

Seems there are two new approvals, from Labcare and Coris BioConcept.

Thanks Cap - I’ve no intention of selling! I can be a dimwit sometimes, but hopefully not that much of one!

The COVID tests have massive potential but longer term I’m much more interested in progressing trials, which perhaps in the more immediate term might relate to an affimer therapeutic, that demonstrate safe use in man. Once that hurdle is overcome then the potential for Affimer treatments, for cancer or otherwise, seems extensive.

Short term I suppose I remain a little confused about the drive towards COVID test perfection when it seems that high test specs may not be necessary to meet desired aims, namely to identify only those more contagious people rather than anyone with minute traces of the infection.

Great video, and compliments AS video re desired test parameters. Overall message seems to be the need to identify highly infectious people quickly and cheaply.

I am sure we will be able to do that, but do we need to be at all concerned that we might be too good and too expensive? I ask only because the acceptable test parameters and likely costs discussed in the video both seem lower than what we are aiming at, and it strikes me that this might open the doors for cheaper yet still acceptable competition.

May be we could offer a range of LFD’s, with different quality and price points for different markets?

Not de-ramping at all and indeed I’m probably barking up the wrong tree or see concern when none exists! I’m massively in AVCT and just interested in people’s views.
