Agree with all you say Poirot - we know Hughes and Kamani recently lumped in £20m to drive manufacturing, and that Medusa 19 Healthcare Ltd was set up in November for what appears to be that purpose (given its SIC on Companies House (https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/13014718). We just don’t know what they intend to make! Two observations though;

1. Presumably if they were making our test then there would need to be some kind of manufacturing/licensing agreement with us.
2. Not quite sure how a company set up in November can have put in place all quality mgmt systems (and potentially ISO accreditation) to be able to bulk manufacture, at least not in the short term.

Interesting that the Prof was wheeled out for an upbeat interview post close on Wednesday, pretty much ensuring buying volume to sell into on Thursday, and now interesting to see we have another interview with the Prof on Monday which is, I think, the day before the block admission of shares for trading on AIM.

I wonder what time on Monday the interview will be broadcast.

Second RNS out - Trevor selling shares

Braveheart Investment Group plc (AIM: BRH) announces that on 4 March 2021 Trevor Brown, a director and PDMR of the Company, sold a total of 1,200,000 shares at an average price of 57.4062p per share.

Therefore, at the present time Trevor Brown owns 6,443,288 ordinary shares in the Company, which represents 17.37% of the issued share capital of the Company. I’m sure I must be late to the party (apologies if so), but I see Surescreen have details of a CE Marked saliva Ag LFT on their site, quoting 95% sensitivity and 99.9% specificity, along with a video showing its use. Does anyone have more info on this?

Just noted something else weird on the Abingdon site - a reference to “Deutsch Content”. The google archive snapshot of the site on 1 March does not have this reference, so it’s been added very recently. That said, it appears to do nothing, ie there doesn’t seem to be any German content and the words don’t operate as a link to somewhere else in the site.

That now looks like 28 machines (given the LinkedIn posts) at £100k a pop, delivered between 8/1 and 12/3, plus extra for “installation and commissioning at third party U.K. premises” as set out in the services subsection of section 6 to the contract.

That seems to have been big enough for Ginolis to set up Ginolis U.K. Ltd on 30/11 (https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/13050436), start recruiting (Chris Tranter started December as MD), and set up shop ready to start plugging the first machine in in January. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if that fwent to the Alva site of ODX at the end of Jan, given their tweets at the time and knowledge we now have that they’ve been loaned equipment by the DHSC. Since then I’m sure Ginolis U.K. have been busy installing machines with an array of BIVDA member companies, including BBI and ABDX, ready for the big manufacturing push. Let’s hope the machines work better than the one RMS bought eh PL...!

I can only assume this whole contract helped pave the way for the Ginolis takeover by Cellinik, which completed I think on 1 March.

"An important question is arising as COVID-19 vaccines are getting rolled out: Should individuals who already had a SARS-CoV-2 infection receive one or two shots of the currently authorized mRNA vaccines. In this short report, we show that the antibody response to the first vaccine dose in individuals with pre-existing immunity is equal to or even exceeds the titers found in naïve individuals after the second dose. We also show that the reactogenicity is significantly higher in individuals who have been infected with SARS-CoV-2 in the past. Changing the policy to give these individuals only one dose of vaccine would not negatively impact on their antibody titers, spare them from unnecessary pain and free up many urgently needed vaccine doses."

So to my simple mind, this means that you need only give one vaccine dose to those previously infected rather than 2 in order to give them the same level of vaccine protection. Very useful when vaccines are in short supply I would think.

All you need before deciding on one jab or two is a decent antibody test to see whether you've already got immunity from prior infection.

Others might alresdy know this, but I was entirely ignorant of it!

In November they set up another company, Medusa19 Healthcare Ltd. unlike Medusa 19 Ltd, with whom we have a distribution agreement, the disclosed nature of M19 Heathcare Ltd is “ 32500 - Manufacture of medical and dental instruments and supplies.”

This seems to tie in with their announcement in December that Hughes and Kamani were investing £20m to ramp up production of their RSPT. But it may be that the Feb loan by Kamani is yet another cash injection and let’s be honest, the RSPT doesn’t seem to be doing very well (case studies seem weak and all is quiet on their Madrid based trials) So it does make you wonder if their manufacturing capacity might be used to make something else...

Looks like Ginolis, which makes the manufacturing equipment for BBI and Abingdon, have been busy in the UK! Also interesting to see that one David Hall, manufacturing manager at Global Access Diagnostics, liked the post.

AS indicated that there was a whole list of companies who have been working behind the scenes in the UK to scale up manufacturing and here we have Ginolis, a major equipment supplier and one we know HMG has been buying from, confirming that they are very busy installing them in the UK.

Just as a bit of a throwaway, its worth noting that the "affidx.com" domain name has been purchased.
