If this deal is the new benchmark for NS assets then there are some very overpriced companies out there. Using this metric what does that value SQZ et al at ??

I think AA needs to do an interview with Malcy and explain why he has changed from $billion dollar expansion, £50/sh, boasts about cash held by the Co then sell out at £18.50. If as he puts it RRE are the best investment in the North Sea what the fk is he playing at?!?!?!

Like most others I feel £18.50 is a sell out. I would have thought £25/sh at least seeing as we were at £22 in Jan this year. Everything happens for a reason, onto the next one. I'll miss RRE ant that dream of £50/sh. I am in mourning ...;o(((

If I were RRE I would deffo be looking at Hydrogen production and fuel cells. Hydrogen is produced from natural gas. The hydrogen powered fuel cells are being used to power buses, trains and cars. The exhaust emits steam water. I think this will be more the direction of the future. A move into renewables would bring a new group of investors too.

Its all going **** up !! Gas prices are predicted to recover next year so never say never. Spirit are up for sale too which complicates matters. Next 12 months is about survival for HALO, just hang in there. We have gone from hopes for £3 per share, to £2, to £1 , now its please relist so we can get our money back ! 10p...anything! All part of the fun investing in fossil fuels...;o))

Mark Fotheringham, oil and gas projects and engineering director, said Spirit’s intent was still to grow and mature, though some capex has been deferred due to the commodity price slump and Covid-19 outbreak.

Mr Fotheringham said Spirit had been “heading for” a final investment decision (FID) on the Pegasus project in the Southern Gas Basin in 2020, but has now put project approval on ice.

The company attributed the delay at Pegasus to “operational reasons”. Spirit had hoped to use the Cygnus platform as the host for Pegasus, but clashed with operator Neptune over capacity.

U.S. stock futures climbed after a better-than-estimated jobs report indicated a sharp economic rebound from the coronavirus lockdowns. Treasuries and the dollar fell.

S&P 500 contracts soared as government data showed payrolls rose by 4.8 million in June after an upwardly revised 2.7 million gain in the prior month. The unemployment rate fell for a second month to 11.1%. Treasury yields climbed, while the dollar fell among most major peers. Tesla Inc. soared in premarket trading after reporting deliveries that beat the average analyst estimate.

The rebound in the labor market accelerated as broader reopenings spurred more hiring last month, though filings for unemployment benefits remained elevated last week as coronavirus infections picked up. U.S. daily cases topped 50,000 for the first time with increases in major states including Florida, Texas and California. Massive monetary and fiscal policy stimulus have been unleashed to support the economy during the pandemic.

Tolmount purchase off Dana. $246m for 25% or 14000 boepd. Southern North Sea gas.....interesting. AA would likely look to pay less than $246m in current climate. Would take RRE to over 40000 boepd by 2021 and add 22mmboe reserves. This asset has to be No1 on AA target list.

Also have you noticed that after a 1 A trade the SP rises. Not sure if the MM 1 trade " I need shares " is fact but it has an effect.

.....We could actually be building a solid base and starting a re-rate with pending asset purchase announcement. Let's hope so....;o))) I always thought we would de-list before reaching £15/sh, time will tell.

...bounce is well under way. €6.11 for Aug20 and €11.17 for Nov. In May it was around €4.6 per mwh

Something triggered a bull move earlier, maybe US jobs data. Brent climbing $41, FTSE blue, US stocks up. Top up time !!...;o)))

The issue is the same for both. No money being put into O&G equity because it is too risky.

FFS RDSB.L royal Dutch Shell were £23 prior to COVID-19 they are now £12.65. The sector has turned negative this is not an RRE specific issue.

Something has happened just now? FTSE storming ahead. Stocks turning positive.

....are falling by the week so won’t be too long before inventories are back to pre-COVID levels. Hold tight folks the re-rate will cometh.....amen
