Your wisdom and knowledge is appreciated. I think natural resources is a good low ball entry to the renewable's markets so looking at copper, silver, iron ore, palladium. The tech companies are mostly over valued but resources value is on the up...;o))

Any resource linked to LTZ carbon technology is going to take off IMO. Fuel cells, batteries, copper, iron. I'm buying miners not oilers.

...is where it is at. Silver is booming and likely to double in price. Iron ore rising too. I have gone for Ferrexpo FXPO for iron ore increase and a long shot Pheonix Copper PXC for Silver and other resources they are developing. Fresnillo is the largets silver miner so should track silver upwards..;o))

According to the offer docs we should get details of a timetable in the post. I thought this week would be likely but I haven't received anything yet.

Prices are still rising, even Brent oil is recovering ! Silver alone is up 5.36% today. Nice to get a foothold here before the heard arrive...;o))

It's fking huge. I have been looking for another little hidden gem and PXC fits that bill. Should be an exciting remainder of 2020 with plenty of news flow. A 14x bagger will certainly do for starters !!...;o))

FXPO is a good shout. Barondaytrader pumping it puts me off a little though. He tends to get everyone excited then sells out on the quiet before the general dump begins.

£500m-£600m company selling for £250m surely another bid is likely but would need announcing next week. £25/sh ++ counter offer would be nice to see! Big week next week.

Trader fatigue. It's nice to take a break from the stress. 2nd wave of COVID looking highly likely this winter, so maybe sit it out and grab some bargains around Jan/Feb next year. The markets are ignoring what is happening in the US, maybe this is QE pumping up the markets.

Some good shouts there Maverick to look in to. Another on the radar is Vodafone but I need further research.

I thought about calling one of the tel numbers at the bottom of page and asking what is going on. A £500-600m company selling for £250m, you would think, would attract another bid. I hope for £350m but as you say time is running out. Still no sign of the required paperwork from Viaro.

Gamflin, I just don't see much of a return on flats. You pay about £100k for 2 beds in midlands and get about £475 PCM in rent. Take off about £1300 / yr in ground fees etc. It's better than the bank I suppose but is it worth the hassle when you can trade stocks for better returns?
