RE: Re: Sub 2p SP20 Mar 2018 16:53
One or two points need putting into perpective here me thinks.
The thougth that LC is holding us back is incorrect imo, leading up to the deal the sp was 2.25p or higher, it was only due to the minor delay the sp fell, never to recover. I do not think it is anything to do with the aquisition of LC it is I'm afraid market sentiment on aim as a whole at the minute and SML is no longer for daydreamers and traders and unlike many aim fly by night outfits we actually have a business!
Secondly, remarks such as Redmoor is many moons away from production and hence the market is disinterested is again not true. Many aim shares rise and fall on what if's, jam tomorrow, they have found this that and everything, traders turn up and ensure there is a spike, get bored and eventually move on. SML is different we have a business and at the minute we are not seeking to raise funds. something the aim market does get interested in as there will an opportunity to aquire said shares at a discount an then flip into the market banking their profits along the way.
Then we are back to the Cobre issue, which isn't one at all given the bod have stated that it will be with us for the forseeable future. Therefore there is nothing at all to say on that matter, other than release the figures for the first quarter 2018.
So why is the sp stuck around these levels, my opinion is that volume is very low, even today was minimal if you look back to see what volumes were like not so long ago, there is no gambling element here for traders although they could certainly see 20/25% swings if they got stuck into it, the bod are too open about everything even the m/cap targets have been set over a longish period of time especially for the normal aim punter, and most of the assets are in safe calm countries, no excitement opportunities there?
As all the long termers here know, sml have come a long way in a short space of time, we have stopped for a breather, we will move north once again probably when no one expects us to!
This is a med/long term investment now and should grow nicely over the coming years and beyond, as dissapointing as it is to see the sp rise with every piece of good news ony to fall back after an hour or so, I am still of the firm opinion we will at some stage this year se some significant uplift in the sp.
A cracking little company somewhat similar to SXX but importantly we have an income.
