Siko has been a good friend for a very long time and certainly helped the long term holders to stay strong through some very worrying periods, Siko does his very best to validate the accuracy of Egyptian media reports, not always and easy task , especially so when considering the language, political and culture differences, not to mention the ongoing battles for one-upmanship between the different wealthy families!
I can sympathies with Siko's dilemma over this, unfortunately some fail to understand that even with information from usually well informed sources that is offered and taken in good faith doesn't mean the ensuing results can always be guarantee, simply because of the ongoing changing factors of the situation, especially so in Egypt!
The long term holders realise that Youssef likes to be first off the mark and doesn't always check out his facts before making media statements, but never the less, once this is appreciated these media releases are well in advance of any that we have in the UK!

It is unfortunate that some have lost, but the Reddit action has made the skulduggery by those that run the market's scam apparent to the wider audience, including many ordinary people who in the past were blissfully unaware of and showed no interest in what their banks trading rooms got up to.
This is all part of exposing what is so very wrong with the way the world is run, it can't be morally right, ethical or even decent to make a fortune or even a few quid out of selling (shorting) something you don't own,or even exists in a true form or of intrinsic value (paper gold,etc).
The stock markets should be about investing to help good companies and those that work and invest in them prosper, not about deceit and destroying the futures of people and communities the world over.
If this makes the downfall of the shorter's and the cartel manipulator's a step closer then its something to the good, they serve only themselves and certainly produce nothing of any benefit to the rest of mankind, so they need to look in the mirror and realise its time to find something else to do.
The genie is out of the bottle, they can't put the stopper back in, the big scam is exposed to the masses!

You could well be right, especially on the type of trading you are involved in ,brokers are like casino's & bookies, they like the punter to take all the ris, ideally the house should always win!
As you may realise this is a really excellent forum and its great that you joined it, but regarding the spread betting & CFD trading you might find the T2W forum of some use.

Some very fair observations & comments , if some many of these expert brokers ,analysts, financial journalists and market predictive software writers were really so competent and indeed confident in their professions then surely lthey should all be billionaires and retired by now, not trying to get the likes of us to buy their services and take all the risks?
The reality is the worlds financials markets are are controlled by the shadows and when events aren't going in their desired direction, then they pull the levers one way or the other to alter course and to hell with the consequences for the lower orders, they can always be fobbed off with a few scraps or manipulated with some political spin and propaganda via the usual channels!

Quite so those they have taken unfair advantage of and exploited for far too long have learned the very tactics used to exploit them and now turned them to their advantage !

Aureus effectively went bust, got taken over by a Turkish group, and then de listed.

Altus have a royalty deal on one of the Aureus exploration land packages - Leopard Rock. Miles away from a reserve, let alone a mine!

Thank you for the insight, unfortunately despite what would seem to be the logical thing to happen the POG is being kept just where those that control the markets want it to be, this downward pressure on the SP has been amplified by the Sukari open pit situation.
Although Centamin is in a far better situation than any the recent concession winners, the vast majority of which will only ever produce empty promises to their investors and a pile of debt!

David Netherway used to be Chairman of Aureus, a TSX and Aim listed gold company in Liberia. His reputation is OK. I must say I have never come across this business before, but a quick scan of their asset base would show that almost all of their projects are very early stage!
I would definitely not term these guys as miners, even with the La Mancha share ownership!
