Don't understand your resentment towards Europe, they have after all suffered several years of uncertainty and upheaval all caused by an unnecessary and foolish UK Brexit to which they have been very tolerant and patient,especially when considering some of the naccurate and derogatory accusations made against them by Farage, Boris and other UK's prominent Brexiteers.
Of course Barclays CEO claims not to care about not having the same access to Europe, that's the type of bank they are ,they never have wanted to play by the rules and much prefer to operate in areas of the world where exploitation of the masses is easy and regulation is in favour of the corrupt and oppressive governments.

You should be aware by now that Farage, Boris and all the other cabinet Brexiteers have done very nicely out of Brexit and unfortunately its the ordinary people and our youngsters futures that are now going to pay the price and suffer!

But then there is always a 50% chance of being right or wrong whichever decision one makes, unless of course one enjoys access to behind the closed doors of the decision makers.
The share price unresolved court case and the market sentiment discounts and the of future potential of Centamin have been disregarded in these valuations.
I appreciate the considerable effort that has been put into concluding that the present share price is justifiable, however common sense dictates this is not so,, not least because the resulting value fits in with a chosen calculation criteria, but also because some admittedly as yet unknown but very important and influencing factors have not been considered in the calculations.
Most amateur analysis is pretty pointless, especially so in the present markets and in this situation, because its based on the information which is available, this is usually no longer reliable and will have been superseded because events have moved on, as in this case!

We have all made mistakes in the past and most probably will do again in the future, the thing to remember is its all part of our education as we progress through the university of life.
Despite what some claim by using the charts, candlesticks and different trading strategies most of their successes or loses all come down to luck.
The likes of us can never beat or really predict the market because we don't have privileged access to where all the important decisions are made behind closed doors by the political and financial elite running the show.
Also hindsight is a great thing and I am as guilty as the next share holder in wanting to have faith in the board, even when the chairman sells saddlebags of shares and rides off into the sunset to take a back seat, or another family member who is responsible for managing Sukari sells millions of bonus shares for property development just before it the board realise there has been no waste clearing in the open pit for years and a pit wall is in danger of collapse!
Yes it is amazing what right decisions we might have made if only we were behind those closed doors!
Long term holders in this share have been disappointed by unexpected announcements more times than many of us care to remember, we always hope this time its going to be different, perhaps it will, because after so many past disappointments and the way the market has lost faith the company really is in "The last stop saloon!"
But you have a big advantage,you have time to wait if you choose to put those Centamin shares in the bottom drawer for now and who knows with your dividend payments and if all goes well with the new Centamin strategy then chances are you will win in the end!

Also the stocks you mention are far more suitable as far as if you want to trade on SP, although both have capitalised on the bad board decisions of established brands in our high streets and have no intention of keeping any of the workforce.
The pandemic has accelerated the demise of high street shopping and these brands will probably do well as long as people have the money to keep buying from them, but then then if they get in trouble that in itself presents trading opportunities as we all know.
Whatever your decision I wish you well, you may not realise it now but you have learnt from your experience with Centamin.

You speak from experience of the trading exchange and from knowing Centamin over a very long time.
I appreciate it must be hard for some of those newer members that have come over from other trading forums to understand that the Centamin share price cannot be relied upon to perform in the same way as they are used to with most other stocks.
But then Centamin is operating in an environment with different cultures and attitudes and in some respects it has not always performed as well as it might because of family nepotism and many ongoing conflicts of direction and attitudes between the political and judicial elites.
As you appreciate and Rebess pointed out so many of today's stock market valuations aren’t about what is actually produced or delivered, it's about the skillful hyping up of the promise and then getting out just before the reality is apparent to the deceived majority that that the promise won’t be actually be delivered on!
But there will be those privileged to be in the know that will have made money out of this hyped deceit by going short!, (i.e.World Quant, BlackRock)
Most likely the majority of those that have won blocks in the latest Egyptian concession round never had any intention or even the ability to produce any gold, but they will have a plan to sell on or make money out of some other dubious or deceitful plan.
If past events in Egypt are anything to go by and they most probably are then Centamin despite being hobbled at the ankles by the power struggles between the judicial and political elites and in spite of carrying some internal dead wood will still be the only mine actually producing gold and contributing to the Egyptian economy!
