Lol Mr Spacetomato
Well yes I was trying to be a bit more polite than that haha.
But yes ditto!
We definitely do not want a takeover now....
We got so much value to unlock before a takeover......
Not giving our shares away on the cheap thank you!
2 months ago.....We got shot down, dismissed, treated like some outcast want to be stock. Well we all been shouting from the rooftops for the last 2 months now that Avacta is the real deal.. and now we can take our seat at the Antigen testing table!
And today those doubters will now be sniffing around Avacta like a dog on lockdown LOL.
So as we look back and wave to GDR, we say to NCYT we are coming after you next!
Gl all
The filling you in bit.....
oh sure....Avacta finally got the dizzy rise we have all been yelping for LOL
oh it is exciting Sydney haha
Gl all
GL Denn if you got a nice profit
The reality is though chap this journey is only just beginning.....
The long timers of this share know we don't do big jumps like this a lot so feels to me like something major news wise is round the corner...the great thing is it could be on any one of a number of opportunities...I am hoping it is an update on the Cytiva / Avacta rapid testing strips accuracy...but let's see
Someone reminded me we have a bank holiday coming so that means ppl only have today and tomorrow to get in ahead of any developments or wider news coverage for Avacta's story so far.

Today we have taken over GDR on the SP....so let's enjoy the moment:)
A few weeks ago I was told off for comparing volumes when our SP was behind GDR. Well right now we are similar SP:)
So here comes the volume comparison:
Avacta volumes 5M
GDR 400K
Next stop NCYT? Just a bit light hearted banta. Most of us are hoping to go a lot further than both of them put together!

Seems my post "Great news yesterday but...the best is yet to come" this morning had great timing lol!
If this is the effect I will start posting more haha

The news that people are really waiting for is still to come...Testing Accuracy % and EU / US Approvals....Commercialisation deals.....Dual Listing possibilities.....Therapy Possibilities....Vaccine involvement Possibilities
Right now the 'Testing Accuracy and Approvals' are the nearest milestones that will be the key drivers to getting this share to the next level. And by next level I mean £3/4/£5 levels. We may get some left centre news that takes us by surprise which takes us past that but who knows (such as a big therapy or vaccine partner or dual listing announcement). The most likely news to unlock the SP will be the Cytiva / Avacta announcement on rapid testing strips success and the fast tracked approval announcements.
The news (yesterday) is excellent as it consolidates the latest SP levels and helps us build a base for steady rises ahead of news and also a nice platform to spring to the next level with major news.
Side point on background seller mentioned yesterday by a fellow poster:
So I know a lot of people would have been expecting the share price to jump on the back of yesterday's news. As we know there are many factors behind the SP. I believe one person mentioned a background seller yesterday. But most companies have that at one point or another.
As an example, another share that I am in (no names mentioned as not her to tout)....for the last week had a background seller ahead of imminent good news (planning permission) where the decision more likely than not to get approved. That seller (on the other stock) had his own reasons maybe profit taking or de-risking. For me it was illogical to sell ahead so far ahead of the decision as the news meant the SP would rise. People panicked thinking maybe the seller had special news of the permission not being granted. It was not the case. The permission got granted yesterday. The SP he dumped millions of shares at was at nearly "half" the price the SP rose to yesterday. And the seller SP is still 50% below this mornings SP. So background sellers 'do not always get it right'.
I think right now everyone is waiting news on the rapid testing strips accuracy and update re what comes out of Cytivas work the tests. That is really going to be the start of something that moves at a strong pace from their re approvals and government interest and press coverage. Whoever gets rapid test strips to market will get huge media coverage as it is what everyone is talking about in terms of whether "testing and tracing" is really ready to get economies back to work. People are clear right now that the current testing capacity put out by the governments around the globe is insufficient to get buyer and worker confidence back into the industries that need to kick start the global economy

I agree LB28 this has a lot of long term potential.
That is why I have kept some of my shares and they will go in the bottom drawer now.
And I be looking at top up opportunities over the next few days this week too as the share ebbs and flows
Gl all
Well a lot of people would have taken some profits as this was 2.5p 6-8 weeks ago.
I wish I had of put the kitchen sink in at that time. I took some profits too today.
Gutted the SP didn't 4 bag but if that seller clears off this could still see a nice rise over the next few days. Still got a holding here

NELC Planning Committee approves waste-to-jet-fuel plant
Velocys plc (VLS.L), the sustainable fuels technology company, is pleased to announce that resolution to grant planning permission has been given to Altalto Immingham, the UK's first commercial waste-to-jet-fuel plant, by North East Lincolnshire Council (NELC)'s Planning Committee. A formal decision notice will then be issued subject to the completion of standard legal agreements with NELC. All statutory consultees have indicated their acceptance of the plan.
The proposed Altalto Immingham plant is to convert hundreds of thousands of tonnes per year of non-recyclable everyday household and commercial waste, otherwise destined for landfill or incineration, into cleaner burning sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). The project is a collaboration between Velocys, British Airways PLC and Shell International Petroleum Company Limited ("Shell"). It is expected to create 130 permanent skilled jobs and many more during construction.
The fuel, based on technology supplied by Velocys, offers net greenhouse gas savings of around 70% for each tonne of conventional jet fuel it displaces. It would also improve air quality, with up to 90% reduction in particulate matter (soot) from aircraft engine exhausts and almost 100% reduction in sulphur oxides.
Subject to additional funding and financial close, construction is targetted to begin in 2022, and the facility could be producing fuel from 2025.
Henrik Wareborn, CEO at Velocys, said:
"It's fantastic news that the Planning Committee has approved our waste-to-jet-fuel project, which will be a first for the UK. Sustainable aviation fuels are essential for decarbonising this challenging sector and achieving net zero emissions by 2050. That's why Velocys are calling on the Government to co-ordinate policy between departments to help us fund a fleet of world leading sustainable aviation fuel facilities in the UK."
Cllr Philip Jackson, Leader, North East Lincolnshire Council, said:
"This development cements North East Lincolnshire's place at the heart of the UK's green industrial revolution, an area already renowned for its fuels production and offshore wind industry."
"For such a high profile project to choose North East Lincolnshire just shows how competitive we are for the investment market, and with projects like this choosing our patch just shows how we can work with the private sector to make locating here an easy choice."
"I look forward to seeing what this will mean in terms of real jobs for local people, both during the construction phase and when the project is operational in the longer term."

I cannot believe how hard it is for 5p to go lol
Hopefully if 5p goes then it blows through 6p/7p etc
Completely insane selling before planning permission
Hopefully this share should fly....lets get those fundamentals posted
Hold your hats and let this baby flyyyyyy!
It would already be 6p to 8p already but for this blinking seller grrrrr
How they are suppressing this SP right now I will never know.....
That was for item 3
They are going through item 4 now
Item 4
It will not take a lot for this share to fly tbh
Having seen it stagnated in 3p it has lept to 4p
Now the seller is hopefully out let's hope this share really goes for it today
I know most of us are hoping for 8p-10p today
I hope so
