So if Geofortis have been busy building their processing plant in Utah, that says to me they have customer Offtake contracts since that would likely be needed in order to raise the financing to build the plant in the first place. So if that is correct, they are through all the customer trials and product acceptance testing aspects of commercialising a mining/ commodity type project.
And they supposedly have over 150m tonnes of pozzolan in their 2 deposits.
So where is our CS relative to that? Basically a long way behind it seems if Patrick was still struggling to satisfy product size for initial trials. Not a great look currently which explains to me why the CS project has been seemingly moving at snails pace ..... But, on the flip side, if this is an in-demand and reasonably valuable resource then I currently see this as more of a pozzolan buy-out target than ever being brought in commercial production by this management team.
No doubt having expressed my opinion I will now be abused and ridiculed for having the nerve to publicly offer my thoughts. Still WGAF - tomoro will still be a public holiday (in UK) and the sun will come up and go down ..... Bring it on .... you keyboard warriors

Let’s talk about the endless possibility of Hydrogen here, since that is now central to Tlou’s Southern Africa strategy. Yes, an absolute power house in the making under King Tony - gas, solar and hydrogen. He and we are totally spoiled for choice and the future looks so incredibly bright here - for our great grandchildren that is.

The simple answer is both will get what they Bid for. Coz then they have to go get funding, then deliver the gas (first) and Electricity (second).
But I just have a feeling there is a sting coming somewhere with this troubled project. Cant say what; just that I feel something unexpected is lurking in the long grass. Very much hope I am wrong though.

To say that Geofortis are no competition v Sunrise seems rather naive to me. And 400 miles in a USA context is no distance at all.

Safe - I don’t know your history here. Don’t care either. But learning more about Geofortis will surely help understand Sunrise better. Constant criticism of PC doesn’t help much with that.

Look at these guys - building their pozzolan mine in Utah. Decent pictures of recent progress. They also have a mine in Lassen County, which their website claims is 150m tonnes deposit. That is bloody ginormous and it appears to me to be not that far away from our CS deposit.

As for building a plant in a matter of months - which planet do you inhabit? PC said himself they were delayed on trials for getting the product or particle sizing wrong - so whilst that maybe doesn’t matter so much with trial size quantities, for major Offtake contracts, PC will need to ensure consistency in particle sizing. How do you achieve that? When you find you, you will realise the plant infrastructure is a bit more than a digger and few trucks and a bagging machine.

BF - it will be a long time before there is an income stream from the CS project. First need customer offtakes (providing our CS passes testing protocols), with offtakes can secure funding; with funding can proceed to build the necessary plant infrastructure; and after that hopefully start selling CS product.
In my view, all that is easily 2 years minimum before any revenue.
Hence why I reckon CS project is more likely to be an acquisition target - providing the deposit is actually big enough to get the right attention of others.

BPC credit downgrade is a significant event imo, given that any project lenders will consider the market risk of the company/entity having to make payment to the Lendee ie Tlou. So this is surely going to make the financing discussions more complex, especially if Govt isn’t prepared to offer assurances it will stand behind BPC.
So whilst more complex, maybe it is good this downgrade happened now rather than down the track. The issue is now brought out into the open and so will have to be dealt with upfront.
So not as bad as it might appear at face value - but no doubt will result in more time being spend addressing the detail or impact.
