You are right Smith - the size of the PPA is irrelevant. Funders will lend to a small PPA and/or a large PPA. All the funders want to know is:

What is the size of the PPA;
What is the term of the PPA;
What is the financial cost of the entire PPA ie cost to build gas supply and build power plant and build transmission line, and once these are built, what are the ongoing annual costs to run and maintain these project elements;
Can tlou deliver sufficient gas to the power station to honour the terms of the PPA;
What happens if tlou is in default on power supply under the agreed terms of the PPA ie penalties;
Who is Tlou selling the power it’s generates to - easy one, BPC;
How credit worthy or reliable are BPC on making payment for the power delivered to them;
What remedy mechanism exist in case BPC does not pay or regularly delays payment;

So yeah absolutely, tlou being the well capitalised company with a great big balance sheet behind it, the funders are just going to be lining up and falling over each other as they knock on the door and stuff the funding terms through the letterbox because, like BradSmith, they too cannot understand why anyone else thinks the size of MWs is an important issue here.

Or maybe, just wait and see if the funding arrives before or after the PPA is agreed. That might be a bit of an obvious giveaway, but since that is going to require the benefit of hindsight (only for you I think), we are just going to have to put up with you waffling on and on and on about something nobody else has any doubt about.

Or maybe, here is a simple way you can convince yourself - go and read ALL the Tlou announcements mentioning PPA and funding. Of that total, check through to see if any discuss funding aspects before they explain the PPA and the progress thereon.

General stuff and nothing earth shattering. But with Covid vaccines only starting to arrive in-country in the last few days, basically the rest of this year is a write off (just like 2020 and 2019). Tlou lacks the financial clout to gets real meaningful boots on the ground, construction type activity done - so nothing else for us but to sit and wait until the PPA for power station is negotiated. With that, then TG needs to deliver on the funding that we have oft been told is close. Hydrogen won’t progress much in remainder of this year as the partner will be busy with their own IPO. Solar needs the transmission line same as the power station does. Orapa is still at the tender award review.
Keep your hopes Low and then maybe for once you will be pleasantly surprised by progress (when it happens) v this endless hype and expectation that great things are just around the corner.
