TB, things really do come to a standstill in southern africa around end of year time. So don’t be surprised if contractors are not at their work much before February (and that might be optimistic)……

I have an increasingly horrible feeling we are headed into a 3 months quiet period. Really hope I am wrong but with the recent flurry of activity on quarterly, signing PPA and getting us all exciting about near term funding……., please don’t be letting us all down again Tony and team……
We want to read that the $10m funding is through Credit Committee, signed and agreed and ready for action.

Interesting read with lots of story lines:

Delivering 2MW initially - but RNS was steering us to the prospect quickly of 10MW and $10m revenues.

Transmission line being built initially capable of carrying up to 25MW grid connection.

Orapa - saying conversion from diesel to gas may not be warranted by 2028 due to limited service life. FID early 2026, in 4 plus years from now.
But I would expect whoever supplies the gas or manages the plant will be asked to fund and replacement plant required.

Debt and equity required in the upcoming $10m fund raise - assume this means $10m debt and rest equity.
Morris - have you a view on this ?

Shares in issue - 600m currently rising to 850m. Think I will have a look at options / warrants at below say 6p to see how many of the supposed 250m increase is a possibility (at Low price making the 850m target realistic or optimistic.

Hydrogen - nominal $1m value assigned with upside possible ‘following technology validation’.

So much still to prove and achieve ahead.

Does he know that actually the SAPP has an exceptionally good (all things considered being as it is Africa) power distribution, well connected network.

Yeah, everybody rushes around real busy in Botswana. That’s why so much gets done so quickly there.
And you are right - in addition to being a driller and gas engineer, Danny Horne is probably an electrical engineer so he will be telling everyone at BPC how Tlou should be connecting into the BPC grid ….. since BPC have probably never done that sort of thing all that often.

A decent read although not much new. CBM noticeably doesn’t get a mention but Orapa 90MW does - the good news there being the plant doesn’t run anywhere near full time.

I wonder when the results of that gas supply tender are announced.

End of fossil fuels so Tlou (and Sekaname) will never get funding for methane extraction. Coal producing nations will increasingly be seen as pariah states. Synthetic diamonds will replace those digging to the earth’s mantle. All this will happen too late to save the Okavango Delta. And faced with crashing revenues, Govt of Botswana will approve the shale plans of Recon Africa to earn a last few bucks to ensure offshore bank accounts are topped up before the gravy train of Govt mismanagement is finally shredded.
Can’t believe I turned maximum bullish this time last week.

What a totally clueless about Botswana observation to make Smith !
Coal is the dominant energy source for domestic power generation, and will continue to be so for quite some time. And gas is in the massive coal deposits underlying much of Botswana - with CBM starting to take the energy out of the coal, rather than taking the coal out of the ground.
Why wouldn’t the investment arm of the Govt invest in businesses that deal in coal !! MDCB are there to make money; coal is there to fuel the nation; and all infrastructure needs investment and Govt would be dead dumb blind and as stupid as you if they didn’t look to invest and make money from all commodities in the country - coal, gas, diamonds, copper, nickel, iron ore, platinum, rare earths ….
