Clearly, such a modest purchase is not going to be influential one way other another. It was just an investment for a younger family member. Quite normal really.

Here's a snippet from a Motley Fool article from 2 years ago entitled, "Should you buy Sirius Minerals PLC shares while directors are buying?" Elizabeth does seem to make modest purchases, but another director made a more substantial purchase the following day. "But that hasn’t stopped the company’s directors from getting in on the act, and we’ve heard of two of them buying shares in the last week. First was non-executive director Elizabeth Noel Harwerth, who bought 49,608 shares at an average price of 18.12p on 28 April. The investment of a fraction under £9,000 is perhaps not a massive one, but it’s not to be sniffed at. Then a day later we heard that another non-executive director, Jane Ann Lodge, had made a more substantial purchase of 100,000 shares at 18.35p, for a total investment of £18,350 and taking her stake up to 200,000 shares."

Anyone know why UT trades occasionally appear in the middle of the day with SXX? It's not something I see very often with other shares.

My prediction is that anyone who buys in below 50p and holds for at least 3 years will make an excellent profit.

Not as many as I would like. The actual number has varied from zero to one million over the past year but it's about 800k at the moment. I have traded this successfully but with news around the corner I think my luck will run out if I play with it too much, so holding until at least 2021 now. And mostly likely buying more whatever the share price does!

These days I just buy if I think the price is going up. It's proved a much more profitable strategy than the penny pinching I did in the past.

"I want back in!!" So do a lot of people. That's why any drops are quickly bought into.

Selling is by far the greatest risk at these levels, given that a Torps RNS could land tomorrow or at anytime over the next few months. The pain of watching the SP suddenly run away from you really hurts! All that profit you'd dreamed of gone forever unless you're willing to buy back in at much greater cost. That sort of pain hurts far more than a paper loss that will inevitably recover.

Hi allgrins, I sold my entire holding of 1 million shares at just over 24p for a �22k profit, but now feel that was a big mistake and have bought back in with a holding of over 800k shares but at an average of 30p. It's hard to predict the future!

The recent "negative vibes posts" are simply people pointing out the reasons why the share price is still very low given the huge potential here. And let's not forget, it is very low. Anyone who wants to buy in when it's virtually risk free will have to pay at least 100p, and maybe a lot more. Up to each and every one of us to decide the level of risk they are willing to accept. It's a clich� but, "Nothing ventured, nothing gained."

Fred, sold some of my other shares since every time I research what to buy, nothing even comes close to SXX when weighing up risk v profit. Got tired of worrying about not owning enough! Got them at 33.92p too, so they're already in profit (deal costs and tax included).

Could not resist buying another 100k shares.

As has been stated, the deaths were not caused by Vedanta. If you want to start moralising why not delist BATS while you're at it. Huge number of horrible deaths caused by tobacco. And I'm sure we can add "reasons" to delist at least half the FTSE 100 and 250. With the up coming dividend, looks like a great time to buy more.
