This RNS is screaming from the roof tops that very important news in imminent.

Today's sellers could set personal records for the most money they NEVER made.

That's exactly how I read it too. Maybe the reason why the RNS wasn't released last week: they were holding on to announce something extremely positive. Expecting that to happen soon now.

"Initial responses received from banks participating in the stage 2 financing process are positive"

Like the RNS and rate it more upbeat than the routine one we could have expected.

Dividend of 0.5p went Ex-Div on 7th June 2018. Payment date 6th July 2018. Still over 3% of current SP.

That was the high on 1st August 2016. We're going to see that broken well before year end. Much closer to production now and this project has so much momentum.

Doesn't change much, but it is part of an incentive award so people must be happy!

Makes no difference to my investment strategy but anyone know why the end of day UT is shown as 31.28p on this site whereas just a few seconds later it's shown as 31.58p here:

Have know for years that the trades reported here and elsewhere were not to be relied on, but I did always trust the end of day UT price. Ah well, that's another illusion out the window.

"I genuinely thought it would be around the 36p mark about now. Reasons?" If a loss and a gain are equal in size it's human nature to worry about the loss more than one appreciates the gain. So the price tends to hang below the level at which an unemotional assessor of all the risks would place it. This is of course good news for those buying in at the moment.

"I'm sure the market thinks too little" That's true, but I would not want to change things. It's the market's irrational behaviour, with a bit of with a bit of simple statistics thrown in, that has helped me make a tidy sum over the last 5, or so, years.

Was still hoping to get some early.

Was going to buy more at about 31p. But never mind, I'll sit back and enjoy the rise this morning!

"Why not pick up a few extra shares along the way?" That could equally well read, "Why not lose a few shares along the way?" When the underlying investment is good, far safer to hold and buy more on the dips.

"Notably perceived 'bargains' in the likes of UKOG or 88e." You are probably right. Rainbow chasing causes many a PI to lose money, including those who work in finance and should know better. I know where I'd rather put my money over the next few years.

Early 2021 is only weeks before production starts. Excitement will cause the £1 to be passed well before then. Mid 2020 I reckon.

"Why are they recorded as sales?" A good question, the current system of recording trades as buys or sells has always seemed disingenuous at best. A quick glance at clumping that occurs on the "Share Trades" page should instantly raise one's suspicions that the designation of a trade as a buy or sell cannot be relied on.

Careful not to trade a share, that's on an upward trend, too often. It really tips the odds against you. Even when you're right half the time you will not do as well as if you'd just let your investment ride.
