Only 2 trades but that still represents interest, though in total it's just £600s worth, small fry I guess. But yes, once again a few trades = SP movement here due to the relatively tight number of shares in issue. Really interesting to watch that. HH tried telling me this 2 weeks back but I couldn't decide if it was good or bad. Actually I still can't decide lol. You've got swift jumps with trades as it is, but low trade volume/fluidity. If there were more shares maybe there'd be thousands more investors all pinging away all the time making it a very fluid share but with a more gradual up/down swing. I can see why you might favour the former :) I think I "get" what you chums achieved here now.
Langyy old bean. RRR is a total mystery to me. I don't know if it's just funding / debt issues or whether there really is a MASSIVE masterplan in operation involving all kinds of wheeler deals. For sure RRR has set itself up for all sorts of possible deals. It can merge with RGM, it can take over RSL near enough, it can sell all it's profits in Mt IDa shares and JMS shares (work millions) and put all that into say Greenland exploration and production (would be massive), there are just so many possibilities, but so little news of which of these is actually happening. Frustrating game of "wait and see" !
EOG - Difficult to guess the sequence of events. Bear in mind UK pulled out of Eurozone so it's not greatly in favour at this point with Europe who are now in crisis big time (I mean on the verge of civil wars etc). UK could first establish it's own supply lines and thus greatly reduce the cost of gas to UK citizens (if they chose to), that would be a vote winner for any coming election provided they get all the PR spot on. It would also create 100s of 1000s of jobs at a time when there are record numbers of unemployed (3m+), another big vote winner. Personally I think the current lull is all about the gov't lining this stuff up as it's paramount to them.
Alternatively, Cameron COULD use Shale to boost relationships back up with Europe. He'd be a hero. He could allow struggling countries to pretty much sever their reliance on Middle East gas and other fuels and help their economies recover much faster. Clearly, either way, the UK Gov't wins VERY BIG TIME whichever direction they choose. This is why I can see EOG will be 100% supported and "helped" wherever needed to succeed and get drilling platforms up and running in double quick time. No idea about the deep water port. The West Firsby site and others are close to Hull, a major fishing port. A little further south east of cours eis the massive port of Felixstowe one of the largest ports in Europe. No issues at all sending gas out that way. Hell they could probably pump it through the Channel Tunnel for all I know. :)
