RE: Got out 2 weeks ago...31 Dec 2013 07:46
I gave up on WAS after they announced the Rights Issue, as I wrote on Dec 9th:
"Based on the last issue back in June where only 33% took up the offer (leaving a shortfall of 254,594,679 Ordinary Shares), I predict another large shortfall with this Rights Issue of 3,718,761,160 ordinary shares.
As much as I want WAS to have success with their Rights Issue, few investors will throw more money after bad. Of course there are some die hard fans of WAS who will buy the 0.4c (approx 0.22p) offer. Leading up to the June offer, I followed WAS closely and noticed investors bought into WAS for the offer, but it still had disappointing results for them. The share price will go up if the Rights Issue is taken up by the large majority of shareholders, but I fear it could be less than the 33% we saw in June 2013.
I think it is best to be realistic, WAS will still have to find a buyer for all 3,718,761,160 ordinary shares over the next 3 months if it is to meet it's obligations. This makes it a higher risk for investors now, as reflected in the sp."
Like so many, I took a loss and will move on. I liked what WAS had to offer, but they had more fingers in more pies than Jack Horner.
