SP climb... must be dividend time! Where to we think it will end up?

Gas goes above $4. The future has never looked so good.

We all know the SP will be a lot higher when as we approach the next dividend. The trend is very predictable. I've loaded up at this price and will sell half at 110. Keep the rest for the dividend income.

I'm sure DEC will issue a note soon about the increase in production and hopefully securing a higher price for future hedges.

Gold price is climbing and it looks like there is room for it to go higher.

In the case of DEC, it's current market madness rather than anything wrong with them. Don't panic Redtom, value always comes good in the end. Time for us all to average down and rake in even even more dividend.

The SP is getting silly. The best dividend payer by a company that can afford every penny. Production numbers set to increase yet again. With hedging and owning a lot of pipeline, they have a very predictable income. Yet, the SP is acting like its a travel company only flying to COVID hotspots. Well, whoever is knocking the price down....thanks for the cheap shares :)

I like the repeated year after year statement of 'IQE is exceptionally well-positioned to benefit from future growth'. Sounds so much better than 'IQE is exceptionally good at making excuses, whilst rewarding just the directors and never the shareholders'

Renewable energy demand will grow and fossil fuel will reduce. However Shell will follow that trend and supply whatever is in demand. They don't care if they sell us oil, gas, solar, wind or battery energy. As long as its making a profit.

Get ready for the... we would have made some money but we had higher than expected material costs and COVID. No dividend for loyal share holders but loads of free shares for directors and senior managers to ensure the SP remains rock bottom.

bald_eagle, it will be a long time until the assets are worthless. The smaller players will hoover them up as they know they can make huge profits. We are a long way off not needing oil and/or gas. With little or no money going into new exploration, oil and gas prices will only go in one direction.

Wow, someone's brave shorting this company. High gas prices, increasing production, great profit margins and paying one of the best dividends. Not sure where they are seeing an angle to keep knocking the SP down.

They are great deals so I'd expect the opposite impact. Probably just reaction to the gas price fluctuation. SP will shoot up as we approach the next dividend date.

Any new hedge business will be at a favourable prices and gives at least 2 to 3 years security to the business. Increased production + increased pricing. Everything looks rosy.

Hopefully the end of a big clear out. Onwards and upwards from here on?

I hope it is 50p by Aug. That would be around 20% dividend. Although Ape is clearly bonkers, I do wonder how why the SP is still dropping whilst gas prices keep increasing. Hedging is not an argument because it just increases the attractiveness of DEC. Patience required until we get the next trading update I guess.

Good analysis Redtom. The only thing I can think of, is that the way the fund raise was done, has scared off some shareholders. A very quick fund raise and a lot of loyal share holders may have felt they were excluded. On top of that, all those who bought into the company +110 SP were probably quite angry that DEC valued itself a lot lower than them. A bit disappointing as DEC had always spoken about looking after and rewarding loyal shareholders.

Looking forward to the next trading update. The SP needs a kick up the bum and some excellent numbers should do the job.

Looks like the SP is being held down. Not sure why but it can't stay this low for long.
