DEC retires hundreds of wells. This increases every year. They do it responsibly.and cheaper than most companies due to having their own dedicated crew. Some think it's a future burden as they are the I want everything now generation. The babies that still have tantrums in their thirties. DEC generates good cash. In the future, they can buy less wells and increase the retirements. No rush to to it all tomorrow but just keep steady increasing it. If you don't like my opinion, throw yourself on the floor and scream. Just please f off from this board and let the adults talk in peace.

A happy entry at the current share price. Hopefully there will be an upward trend in the next few months.

A bit weird that DEC is the most shorted company in the UK now. DEC generates good cash and pays a decent dividend (against current SP). It says the dividend is safe for the next few years. The cash generation and asset base will make it hard for the shorts to pull the SP much further down. It would be nice if the directors put up a bit of a fight.

DEC will not be dragging the FTSE 250 down every day. Rusty is very quiet. Not even bothering to issue any statements or appearing in the media.

Just over a year ago DEC SP was flying high. Nothing much has changed business wise. The shorts started with just a few rumours and a few political games. It's ruined the SP but the business remains the same.

Why are the management not jumping in at this level?

At this rate, the BBs will be having an impact. We just need a couple of the big boys to join in and start buying.

I'm buying at this level as the trend suggests it will bounce at least 20% quickly. Easy money.

Rusty must have the message by now that the market wants a pause to more well buying. Even if he believes they are a bargain. I would like to see some of the cash to cover that spare land with solar panels. This would be a good story and secure a sustainable future.

A lot depends on if gas has a lasting place in the world. The shorts are betting that it doesn't, Rusty thinks it's going to be in demand for many years to come. Can the shorts afford to wait to find out the answer? One cold winter and/or a major supply upset and Rusty could be king again.
