Great news that the shorters seem to have stopped their previous relentless push to bring down the SP. We just need some buyers to establish an upward trend now.

UK government about to plough billions into carbon capture. Storing some in disused gas wells! Could Rusty be right and DEC wells could become carbon vaults. Actually being paid to close them! This really could be a game changer.

As the interest rate falls, the dividend will become more and more attractive. Especially for institutions looking for a higher return rate. It doesn't take Einstein to work out that the more attractive DEC becomes the quicker the money will pile in. The shorters are on borrowed time but if you have time, the rewards will come.

Looks like a bit of a battle going on today. Sells being hoovered up quickly. Maybe GG and that other chap with the tin foil hat is buying in 🤣

The dividend cut is great for DEC and investors. 2/3 cash back into the business rather than being removed.

The dividend was cut because it's what any company would do. Why let 30% leave the business if investors are happy with 10%? If the SP rises, so will the dividend

Another jump in gas prices. All looking good for DEC. When will investors get back onboard? Time to burn some shorters.

Here we go..... DEC has the boxing gloves on. Director buys, share buybacks, decent dividend. Shorters are on the ropes.

Interesting battle today. Buy at 820, sell at 840. It took it's time but the eventual breakout was a positive move upwards. US market heading in the right direction.

GG, I thought you said you were going away and returning when the SP was in the 700s. I even bought more shares to get rid of you.

Nice to see the director buys with so much negative pressure on the SP from the shorters. If they have faith in the company then it's a good sign that nothing is wrong behind the scenes.

Gas price rising. Interest rate down. It's going to be a tough and expensive job to keep the SP artificially held down. Go on DEC, announce a special dividend 🙏

Cash is not a problem. It's how are they going to spend it next? Maybe a different strategy?

Gas price recovery continues.

It must hurt being booted out of the FTSE 250. Embarrassing after ringing the bell at the start of the US listing only to see the SP quickly drop. No real fight against the shorts, showing weakness. The shorts are like a pack of vultures, they are attracted to weakness.

I believe export prices will remain high as they are already quite cheap in comparison to other markets.

Land supply will be interesting. Eventually, the high interest, low commodity prices will reflect in less exploration/drilling. Not an issue for DEC. I think it's why Rusty is hoovering up wells at the moment. He knows there will soon be a time when Gas will be in big demand.

The northern hemisphere summer has not yet officially finished, but United States natural gas markets are already sizing up supply and demand balances for this winter and the next year, and indicate that sharply higher prices may emerge.

The bullish outlook in forward markets contrasts with a fairly downbeat mood in U.S. gas markets so far in 2024.

Gas use is also set to scale new heights going forward. Power production, industrial processes and liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports are the key drivers of U.S. natural gas use.

As we are will all be forced to buy electric cars, oil demand will reduce. The associated free gas from oil production will reduce. Charging cars overnight will need a lot of gas to help produce the energy. Gas prices will increase a lot. DEC will be a very valuable company.

Gas continuing the steady climb.

Like I said GG, holding so no loss. Still getting quarterly dividends. Thanks to the shorters, I'm buying at an incredibly low price. When Gas prices increase, I may sell and make a lot of money. Why would that upset me 😁
