Hi Bamps - thanks for clarification. I meant 'mistake = missed opportunity' . Mistake is the word I would use colloquially if I had missed those opportunities myself. On the 5% I am guided by what Shaun said at the town hall meeting . ATB MrEMC2

For making money on mining explorers - steel yourself:
Rick Rule said - it's a rodeo ride, hold for 5-6 years, be psychologically prepared for lots of volatility, need to be able to stomach more than 20% - 50% declines many times.
Hydrogen - I can't find the original link you posted can you help?
In the meantime have a listen to this:

"for good deposit the easy money is actually made after the initial run up"
For those who bought with averages below 6p I have been looking back over threads
"the million dollar question" and
"takeover of Greatland Gold" 16 April 2020
speculation then was of a possible low ball takeover 11p?
When that did not happen and after those discussions where could one have reasonably been looking to top slice based on the top of the first wave of the Lassonde curve ?
10p , 20p, 30p, ............. £1.44p
GGP has always been a once in lifetime find for me.
What would be the point of posting spurious numbers? It is the global figure that is key and we can compare that with the total that was totted up in 2020. Many of the names then have declared/ comfirmed their holdings again and that shows LTH are still here and have been 'sitting on their hands'.
Welcome and thanks to all the new and old posters. GGP is a great company in which to invest. ATB MrEMC2
Silver/ gold bet failed so that's it for me out with a loss ouch. Not waiting for the copper exploration. Now I know why "what puzzles me still is Tertiary market capitalisation is just £3.5m" . ATB long term investors .
Next accounts up to 30th June 2021 due soon : previous account can be read here:
https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/11752652/filing-history
Those accounts show Ritorno investments:
Low6 Group plc 30 June 2020 £292,500 convertible loan notes (cln); 11 January 2021 £65,000 cln & £299,958 equity
Mesh Holdings plc 1,405,000 shares
(note Mesh Holdings PLC has 925m shares in Ritorno)
Chain, it was jaw dropping for me over the 5% hence my post of 21 Mar 17:13 .
Just before lunch I walked over to the people at the table I refer to and "I said $25million ..........? "
To be fair they said it could be more.
Putting aside the 5% issue I left the meeting feeling better for the longer term prospect of GGP and that we are in very good hands with Shaun Day. GLA MrEMC2
Hydrogen, I wish you had been able to attend the town hall meeting and lunch then perhaps you would play down your 5% hunches.
Shaun said, I think the 5% and bank debt should be enough to meet 123bn. It looked from his facial expression at the time that he was adding up the figures in his head.
So although our share of capex drops from 30% to 25% , the amount of cash we get for the 5% will be disappointing compared to the estimates that many posters have aired in the past , including myself.
@Hydrogen - for discussion
Is the closing of shorts of 50m out of 4bn shares really going to make the share price shoot up; and wouldn't professionals cover their positions with options?
https://www.investopedia.com/terms/s/shortinteresttheory.asp
Are we really going to see a short covering squeeze? GDXJ recently bought millions of shares - shorters stood aside and the share price rose a little!
Would be different if we were taking about 200 - 300m short.
I would guess more patience and time is needed for the share price to really rocket. ATB MrEMC2
