I hope they do as much as they can and perhaps begin to setup practical mechanisms to support the transition. There needs to be education of the public…so much noise is made by these numpties in the green movement and the media and politicians pander to them. That needs to change

I was having a discussion with Highland matt but seems you cannot resist posting utter garbage.

I expect any free cash will be used for the improvements to this asset (plus EAG salaries) and there will be very little if any left for purchasing a new asset.

Scale will only come with new funds (could be bank debt but very unlikely I think)

Highland - I agree it is an OK business with a steady and predictable return.

It needs a much bigger scale to be of really any value to SCIR because SCIR as a listed company have very high costs.

Also I expect any cash injection for more deals will be via SCIR as it is easiest way to raise capital. At that point presumably more EAG shares are issued to SCIR and we effectively have EAG as a wholly owned subsidiary. I believe there is an option to acquire the other 50% but not sure at what cost.

Also the only way to bolt on acquisitions seems like it will be via equity or sale of existing assets. I can’t see a bank lending to EAG or SCIR to buy more AD plants.

It is low (and more or less fixed) margin. No excitement like oil and gas where there are opportunities for organic growth.

Capital for oil and gas is expensive, and new regulations mean more money to be spent on compliance rather than productive investment (more wells).

We might see some increased investment from opec and short cycle shale but think it will start at much higher POO than historically. There is just too much uncertainty.

Aloj has hit the nail on the head. Supply and demand both matter. Supply has been hammered and demand is strong at these prices.

Sorry but I think this time it really is different. Peak oil investment has occurred whilst demand is still growing.

Horse hill has been sold since then (peak excitement was in 2017 on oil discovery. Also helium one was new and exciting and has now been sold and money ****ed away on failed deals and consultancy fees.

We will need more dilution to fund the drill.
