I too was a very stale bull of SKP,losing over 90% of my original holding ( which I never expect to recover.However this was substantially compensated for following my building a position again from the 30s up to about 100p & again by supporting to the placing a year or so before the "merger".I did not sell any SKP & have bought a few Vec resulting in my now having a relatively large holding.Vec have been in limbo since the acquisition & I am hoping that the forthcoming results & outlook statement will result in a re rating of our SP towards broker forecasts & certainly above 200p-which should make us all happier.Positive news from Novartis & China could help with our re rating together with other news of progress with our exciting portfolio.Cessation of hostilities with GSK would also provide a major boost & remove an uncertainty which has hung over us since it was announced.

The market for Exparel could rapidly increase following today news from Pacira ,another SKP product doing well. Hopefully results soon will give confidence that synergies from the acquisition are ahead of schedule & Vec are doing well.The market rise has largely passed us by but perhaps a rapid re rate will follow the results

Sid- this board hasn't been the same since your departure!Another great find suggesting we continue to developed new & interesting markets -although they are asking much of a prospective employee for a modest wage - cleaners( &.no disrespect to them) earn £9-£10 per hour in London.Lets hope JG is son able to announce that we are back on track,thecdivi is safe & a new CEO ( or at least COO) is appointed.

Great news for ATYM & massive endorsement of Alberto & our management team & a maximum outlay of 12million euros gives us up to 80% of another copper mine in Spain.

The industry had a poor December ( although we did not do too badly) as the industry announced.That must have reversed in the last few weeks with favourites not getting the expected results but I doubt whether too many punters expected Barcelona to lose 4-0 on Tuesday or arsenal to lose 5-1 yesterday.

Demonstrates that the acquisition of SKP was a great deal for Vec with recurring royalty income of about £16mill from GSK & Exparel ( which is uncapped & with further milestones) apart from other royalty income,Flutiform & more. Pity the cessation of hostilities V GSK wasnt announced with an "amicable" settlement as I suspect that would have allowed our SP to re rate.Hopefully results due next month will confirm progress being made on all fronts, a strong outlook statement for 2017 & maybe even a solution to the GSK dispute. Remaining optimistic !

Firming SP after a fantastic trading statement &,hopefully the fact that we will not be merging with Wilma Hill- unless we can do so while simultaneously divesting the 2000+ high st shops which are not the future & just retains the online presence

I too have a small stake in Boom via an investment in an AIM Vct ! Positive finals, a decent outlook statement & good news on the deal & scientific progress front over the coming months will hopefully result in our SP re rating towards the concensus of analyst / broker forecast ,i.e.north of 200p.

Lets hope your foray here Leapfrog is more successful than our Val investment.I have been here for less than 12 months & came to have a large holding via my SKP holding .Lets hope your presence is a good omen !

Interesting to see whether our acquisitive shareholder will increase his stake following a positive update & the recent slide back in our SP.

Perhaps our firming SP is a reflection of the 2 shorters closing their positions to salvage some of their remaining profits. Hopefully not & it is a reflection of steady buying & the shorters are still short, hopefully resulting in their closing at higher prices.

Exceptionally high reflected the uncertainty surrounding regulatory changes but happy to be holding .

I have looked at when shorters started shorting & they started selling @ about 740-750 , so even taking account of the forthcoming ( unexpected )dividend they could still get out this week with a small profit (maybe) by closing their positions this coming week.

Once the Astor judgement is delivered the uncertainty in this respect,hanging over the company,will be over & we can then provide for the known cost & move on.With a CU price ,which will hopefully continue firming,a mine operating at capacity & the potential for expanding our reserves following further exploration our SP could continue its recent recovery.The establishment of our Astor liability could also make us vulnerable to a bidHappier with my holding than I have been for years.

As of yesterday 2 hedge funds remained 1.48% short, ie about 4.4 million shares & I wonder at what point they admit defeat & close their positions ?

Very strong statement,NGR in Jan up substantially,merger synergies of 125mill euros delivered by the end of this year & our dividends likely to increase substantially this year. Could not be more positive !

Hope they havent started selling down their stake following the disappointing trading statement.

Directors buying @ these levels is counter productive ,i.e. 100k for JG & 20k for DL-at best a poor attempt to portray confidence .It would have been more impressive & supportive had they bought a few hundred thousand each & if they could announce that senior managers( i.e. those selling their companies to CRU ,for cash & shares) had increased their holdings.Additionally our II won't be impressed & will be unlikely to support further fundraisings unless &.until the damage is seen to be repaired.Pity the statement didn't include more details if the financial implications other than to say that the rest of the group (apart from mouldings) are trading profitably.Only 3 months of the year to go so they should have a good idea- unless they don't.

Very disappointing & CS was shrewed to exit .Unless JG thinks the end is nigh I would be surprised if he has not bought more shares today 7 he may have been joined by other Directors & senior personnel.I doubt whether that would arrest our fall ( unless it was in very substantial amounts) as the uncertainty will remain until the finals. having worked hard ( I presume) to turn Cru around & eliminate its dependency on one dying income stream by substantial diversification he will be feeling more disappointed than most-assuming he was unaware of the problem as it had been concealed from him.With that in mind we have to question his will to continue the fight , deal with the problems & turn it around ...again - & i would have thought he could be in the mood to capitulate by accepting an offer - should one be forthcoming.Right now 20p in cash sounds quite attractive ! As I will be 97 next , the pension will have to wait a little longer !
