TheStealer, I know you worked there but the reason for the fall was not the debt specifically as this was there during the float. A recent press article highlighted that it was not seen as a problem during the float and the AA (and ACROMAS) had a plan. If you look at the way the PLC is split up you would get an understating of the plan that is still possible to deploy and is the reason there will NOT be equity raised or the need to refinance in 2022. If we go alone and execute a good plan we would rerate to cr150p-200p and the possibility to recover to eventually pay of another billion over time raising the share price to 500-800p

The PE takeover if anything has taken the recovery back a step. The PE had been sniffing around at 60p so add a premium to that and you get a take over price of 75p.

Not sure what that is about. Does it appear this downward pressure is providing an ideal opportunity?

jamesbond0071977 may have called the share price correctly but he has not a clue why it fell... like insiders and those PE who floated did. That was then, things are potentially turning around now so watch this space.

What I am saying RoxburyHouse, is that you should not have declared such a stake on a forum. It not the MM but other posters selling waiting for you to sell before buying back in.

The MM's can't play games as the share price is not determined by them, unlike AIM. But others can game this and made easy when PI's go all-in with massive stakes.

RoxburyHouse, the key to The AA success is a equity for debt swap via Private Equity. Failing that the only option is not a placing like everyone says, but to sell an asset than converts the debt into cash. They only have one asset that could do this, but it is packaged up in its own company should they need to sell it.

PIN are not buying their own shares, just supporting a case for it given that this is blatantly undervalued on every one of my quantative measurements. Buy with confidence. The only thing holding this back are technicals caused by a seller... and ideal opportunity.

Environmental, social and governance factors is positive for any investment fund or trust. This is good news. All funds or trusts should aim to have ESG as this will also give the share price advantage over non-ESG funds and trusts. I hope PIN are able to promote this.

There should be a stock market rally after the election be it red or blue that win. Historically stocks rise between now and Christmas. While we are stuck with C19 this does mean that tech and stay at home ecconomy stocks like these in GROW will continue to rise.

wisemanner, that is an interesting view. I suspect however that C19 are creating unprecedented opportunities for acquisitions and money is being set aside for this rather than to buy their own stock? On balance though, what better buy than PIN at 26.5% discount? (US biased HVPE trading at 20% discount with similar sector allocation be it US bias)

£75 million raised at £1.50. This is great news and the share price should go upwards strongly after ll is said and done.

I apologise that since my call for "perfect buying time" the share price has fallen 3%. However, the listed Private Equity index is actually up and I believe PIN has/had an institutional seller as well as foreign exchange issues. I have added this week and I am confident this is should be trading 6% higher in the short term as a minimum.

I am not sure "MMs are desperate to get hold of them" are particularly apt. A better counter-argument would be that based on The AA Ireland sale last week, an equivalent deal on EBITDA multiple: 10.5 would result in a takeover "Golden Tickets" price of 70p a share....

JJ are you getting P/E numbers instead of EBITDA multiples?

The AA are the only resilient business on that list. It is too risky buying those stocks while I piled into Ocado at the start of the pandemic.
