I'd be a bit careful with that, because they might actually execute it. So when you put your Fill or Kill through a dealer actually has to ring through to the market to get a price, so depending on what their main market maker's book looks like they might actually take a large holding, so it's not without risk doing that.

If people are keen to get stock, put a fill or kill through outside of the spread that's advertised and then they will still execute it at the lowest possible price available.

It does look like fill or kill orders might be being filled at the moment. Certainly, it looks like someone just got normal market size filled at 85p just now.

Depends if they let anyone actually buy to push the ask up. It has been NT to buy now for nearly 3 hours for me. Something has to move eventually and either we get sellers or buyers force their way through.

It's funny though, because I can get 2 shares before it goes NT on offer, yet there are 4 MMs sat at 85p. Nuts!

I can't find one anywhere. They don't seem to have given notice of any results for these ones like they did with the half year ones.

We had them on the 6th Feb last year and I'd expect them before any report and accounts for the year, so it's odd that they've waited this long.

Let's just hope it's because they have something good to say!

Nice one. Interestingly (at the moment at least) you can actually get quotes to sell in reasonable size again. I can get a live quote to sell 20,000 shares at 70.05p, which is more liquid than it has been recently.

It's difficult to say this without sounding a bit like a conspiracy theorist, but it does feel a bit like something is being orchestrated in this 70-75p range - of course that might just be wishful thinking on my part.

Could be due to a deal being set at a particular price, or even that there's one institution looking to sell and another one has agreed to take that stock off them in this range - that would at least explain the block trades.

You never know, maybe 5his is taking so long because they're trying to lump more than one deal together.

In the LSE interview Helge said "We have a target list of deals", "we have a couple of deals that are further advanced", "The ideal deal would have everything in it, but you might need to do one or two deals to get to the ultimate goal."

The way he emphasised that point perhaps suggests that in the right circumstances they would go after two at once.

Plus, that might also be easier with the banks and major equity holders, so you never know - that being said, I won't hold my breath.

I think you're right. There's a good chance that there will be a lot of built in hedges into this kind of transaction.

We'll see, but either way, I've added around £8k this week in total (£6.5k today).

True, WhirlawStones, but take yesterday for example, when you couldn't get a quote to sell 10 shares and yet they still didn't move the price down.

All a little bit odd here, but (and maybe this is wishful thinking) perhaps you have a point regarding the price range we've been in.

I've added a little again - only ~1500 shares, but it's been a wise move to drip in here historically, as every time I think we're close to a deal nothing materialises.

Price wise, I do find it very odd that they don't seem to want to let this drop below 70p. Seems nuts considering that there have been enough sells to warrant that.

At the end of the day it all comes down to what they buy at what terms and right now we just don't know. I think going on RRE's approach, 300p seems reasonable, but again, I'll wait and see for the deal to decide targets, etc.

For me, I ultimately trust in the BOD and their own shareholdings here to come up with something good.

I think covid has probably wiped off nine months for them in terms of negotiations etc. That being said, they've made it pretty clear that they've got a list of target assets, so all going well, something can happen here.

Morning all. I'm getting bids for 10k shares at 72.2p then it goes NT to sell 12k shares.

I'm here for a deal. I'll reevaluate once I can read about that deal, but my gut feeling has always been that I can see equivalent pricing of 300-500p here on a good deal, but I'll adjust that if/when we see a deal.

Someone was prepared to pay the high of the day for £31k, which might not be a lot compared to the market cap, but it's clearly a lot compared to the average share lot traded here.

Not in the same way. They raised over 6m GBP, which makes them an investment firm, so they're not bound by the time frames that most of the smaller cash shells are.

That being said, I do believe in their prospectus that after 18 months post IPO a general meeting has to be held to allow the company to continue to search for RTO candidates as opposed to handing back the remaining cash to shareholders and dissolving the company.

I'm rehashing my usual narrative here, but in the half year results they said this:

"Events year-to-date have been unprecedented causing deals under negotiation to be put on hold on several occasions, due to matters beyond Longboat’s control."

Maybe I'm reading into this too much, but the implication that you can put a negotiation on hold on 'several occasions', sounds like the counter-party is actually reasonably interested in selling their asset.

We should be due some full year results soon, not that I expect them to say much unless they've signed a deal, tbh.

My gut feeling is that they'll buy something like ConocoPhillips Skandinavia's 1.62% interest in the Troll field. That would give them ~4,374 bo(e)pd with a breakeven sub $10/bbl. That's only an example, but I think that's the kind of thing they'll go after.

I think they're probably pretty close to a deal, because right at the start in those two interviews they said they were in data rooms. If you combine that with looking at how their staff have changed I think it's clear that they had reservoir engineers looking at the overall fields and now that has been narrowed down to how they can add value to the fields with more drilling, so I'd expect them to be reasonably close: https://twitter.com/ProAIMTrader/status/1356981792234946560
