Excellent posts Ent … completely agree on all aspects. Has anyone done a FOI request on the desktop review? Staffing numbers etc?
On the agent front … I also agree with the frustration with repeatedly flogging rabbit hole type tripe. Happy with actual scientific studies but as someone pointed out - if you stick to researching the science then perhaps your social media feeds might not send you down the rabbit hole so much. Yes the government is corrupted but let’s not paint it into a Hollywood blockbuster a million times here…
But still can’t place trade on FTSE100 share…
Couldn’t buy or sell anyway - HL has problems - can anyone sign in?
Thank god for that post Indy... I thought we had gone to the sh***er! Happy Christmas all and if Slinky is out there... it is being opened on Christmas - I just can't wait any longer.
Rip… bah ha ha ha. W
East side - definitely something just like that…
I fear this is a general job description for being an MP… unfortunately the only ones who had any ‘can do’ attitudes were only in the job for nest feathering purposes
Lolz Vegas
I have this underlying feeling that the amount of research most have done here compared to that of the average MP is disproportionate … for the departments of DHSC etc to be effective they have to run properly… I can imagine that is certainly not the case, even pre covid. Neale has educated himself on the subject and I suspect that the opposition has much less complex criticisms of the government that will get more airtime than this. It is a bit like the libor scandal - lots of hefty fines for banks but the general public ain’t got a scooby.
you know you can't let a good quiz get in the way of REAL WORK
The actual people who work in these departments should feel actual shame. It may comes from the top but someone should step up and speak out. Maybe actually no one is working…
The government is sickening indeed. What an absolute joke of a show they put out there for all to see. They couldn't be further from the values most brexit voters held. I may not have supported brexit but this kind of treatment of British companies is not something even those who voted to remain can stomach. I think the government is a circus and Bojo is the ringleader in his band of merry clowns.
NDN ‘Maggot’
I see he has purchased a mirror.
Excellent!
It was the undertone (sarcasm) of ‘beloved NHS’ I was bothered by - for clarity. Maybe you didn’t intend that to be the forefront of your post but it was what stuck out for me. The difficulty with this new strain is that it is new. New means less data. Government have no choice but to react until there is enough data. They were negligent the first time … no government is going to make that mistake again.
I don’t mind the discussion Wyndrum but you should think about your tone. Having said that there probably is little point it changes horses mid stream… we have all already built up personas that would be pretty hard to alter now.
The bit I take issue with in the OP is the ‘beloved NHS’. Really protection of health infrastructure makes sense regardless if it is an national health system or paid private system. And really until you ought to properly examine other paid for systems then you might be feeling a lot more loves up over our NHS.
I think it is prudent to take some steps whilst we wait more data.
I’m sure they won’t even bother testing flowflex against it. This government is utterly pants… Maybe LSTM might be able to get samples.
Ok Wyndrum - I will bite. Discussion - HUA has been submitted. We don’t know the turn around or exactly when. So it could be tomorrow or before the end of year or q1. My view is before end of year and we are nearly December - so pretty close. Why do I think the end of year? Because I think that was the goal given the comment from Al. Could it slip? Yes… but could it be quicker given the situation at present? Yes.
Question for you. Why are you invested here? Presuming you are?
To all those wanting to slap me for engaging - I get it - but I think a reasonable response to some of these goes a long way to balancing the negativity they throw out there. The Uber positive ramping is irritating but easier to ignore.
Beinthelead - completely agree on all fronts. Your last point is fact and not even opinion.
I’m happy to critique and discuss - that seems sensible. OP wasn’t wanting a discussion… that is the problem. There are supply chain issues - NHS recently had one over vials. Buffer packaging etc is likely another one under strain.
