Nice Chessman and thanks - sounding positive. The noise from different quarters sounding similarly positive which makes it all the more strange that the SP is languishing.

Good - but the only thing that seems to matter is outcome of Lincoln at this stage - ADVFN seems to be active with lots of observations on vessel movements but nothing on here - does anyone have any views on what is going on?

I was surprised to see no posts this morning and trading volume still light. There is some chatter on ADVFN about proximity of vessels to TL implying something about to happen. Could that be possible?

Irrespective of who said what and when the flare will be, the SP is becalmed on very thin volumes - ie the day-traders seem to be holding on pending some good news. Question is will we get some II's that start loading up in the next few days - logic has to point to upward movement if Lincoln looks successful as the current price does not even justify the full value of Lancaster.....

based on all the messages including some from this AM would it not be a tad early ? The rationale for weekend "flaring" seems credible

thanks Wellwell - that all stacks up. One of my first posts was around the Lincoln Risk assessment in the Dec 17 CPR and how many of those risks they would have addressed before the latest drill. The mention of the extensive oil column is explicit and there for all to see. It would be hard to assume a discovery of this size and nature would not yield a commercial output, hence we might expect as a given a positive result from the DST. However I am not from the industry and just making my own conclusions as a humble PI so probably not fully aware of the all the other things that could mean this well is not viable. Oh well, I guess soon we will find out.

thanks Genghis - given recent chatter in press from the Operational update (broadly positive IMO) plus imminent news (also likely positive) it would seem plausible to expect a drift upwards in the SP - lets hope we see that

thanks adouble - would weather be playing a part here? looking quite choppy up there currently. I guess TL is robust enough that should not be an issue?

What is the consensus view on timing of news for DST - is the end of this week realistic or will it be longer?

It would take a brave (foolish) person to be out of Hurr when they could be on the cusp of announcing a good result at Lincoln, 4th offload and interim results in the next few weeks.

the way I read that was that he is just reminding us that things can go wrong - despite all the evidence to the contrary (positive). I think he is just being consistent with with what they have previously guided the market

surely the only inference that they have been producing above guidance with only one flowline is a positive thing - it underscores the productivity-potential at Lancaster. Much discussion on whether this is positive or negative but I think the underlying message is immensely positive?

Overall they will produce in-line with guidance for H2 - seems to me as if they are messaging and managing the investment community / stakeholdes sensibly.

Bigger question is on Lincoln - ie does it come up with the goods. I feel as if Dr T would have softened the ground a bit more in this announcement if he thought it was going to be un-commercial

All - does anyone have any more clues on when we may hear something? Was the flare post the other day "smoke without fire" (or fire without smoke) or was there some substance to that? Are there any other pieces of intel that someone is willing to share?

All good points Red but in line with every other listed Corporate they would most likely uplift their guidance at the time of the next results presentation. I agree with you there is a massive disconnect between the actual cashflows coming out of HURR and current SP but can only assume that this disconnect will vanish once some sanity (and more volume) returns to markets and we get a positive announcement on Lincoln. Exciting times ahead.

Are most here of the opinion that adverse news on Lincoln would have leaked by now and thereby driven the SP even lower? Its clear we're sailing through choppy macro-waters at the moment and this seems to be the driver - unless others think differently?
