THG in context16 Jun 2025 08:48
Interesting article in the FT at the weekend talking about the lack of success of the 2021 listings - with 8 out of 33 either sold, delisted or in administration. Peel Hunt and Oxford Nanopore have fallend by two-thirds since listing, Dr Maartens worth about a fifth. Another good article in the same edition spoke about the reasons why companies list now being more to do with owners casing out and lenders getting money back rather than raising money for future growth - how true.
So - a massive downer on the UK company at the minute which affects us however for me it is simply a matter of time before THG is bought for multiples of where we are. When all is said and done (and sorry to repeat someone else on this board) we do have two world recognised brands that should have the ability to create significantly more value for shreholders than they do now.
