fair point Yobbo - then we will need our friends in the maritime world to keep a close eye on the draught to get a clue on the size of the offload. The update on 29/1 was pretty clear - they intend to start pumping at around 20k / day from the end of Jan so no reason to believe they are not doing that now, ie $1.1m revenue / day
so 8th lifting was on 22/1. If they pumped 12.5k barrels for 8 days to end Jan that would be 100k barrels. Assuming they did increase to circa 20k / day then we would have notched up another 220k barrels by end of the day, total 320k barrels. Given that I would assume a ship would be making towards Lancaster in the next 72 hours. Timing is critical as if that does happen then it indicates that we are indeed pumping at this higher level.
"Hurricane intends to complete its individual well flow test on the 6 Well before the end of this month and thereafter intends to flow both the 6 Well and the 7Z Well at a combined rate of approximately 20,000 barrels of oil per day. "
this seems quite clear to me
OK - thanks fandg2. Does that assume that we have moved to 20k bopd 31/1? The statement put out by Hurr seems to suggest that it would happen and if it did not then we would be notified...
if we have moved to 20k bopd then I guess we are due an offload int he next 7 days? any comments?
if PI's have any sense they ahve been using the recent weakness to avg down so 45p for me would be an attractive way to end a bit of a problem....
I am a great believer that everything finds an equilibrium and here we are far from being there. Whether this is an orchestrated attempt to suppress the sp ahead of an offer or a mm shakeout of weak holders - I firmly believe this will normalise (ie > 30p in the next 60 days) - ergo -Bl**dy good buying opportunity
any views on when the next offload will be? If they are pumping 20k / day (assume they are) then guessing we get an offload in the next 5-7 days?
thats a 30% increase from where we are now. I will settle for that back end of next week...
I would think Dividend is unlikely and not good from a shareholder perspective - it would say that they have nothing else to spend on and do not want to invest in new drilling / investment. Obviously they will generate a lot of cash but I hope they will be putting this into Lancaster drilling (and later Lincoln)
exactly - there is a recoverable asset there.....
....isn't this the point about Warren Buffets comment "be greedy when others are fearful". For all those of us who are LTH's we know what value is sitting here. I think this has the capability to head back to the 40's in the next 6 months once we go past annual results, CMD and another drill on Lancaster. It is those of us who are in now who will see the big rise
without wishing to state the obvious this company is ludicrously cheap on the basis that it is profit making and soon to be making $400m / year topline and is set to annouce a maiden profit. But then I guess for people who have done the requisite research they would know that
hard to believe that the company fully ignore a well that flowed at 9,800 bpd. this seems to have been the superficial interpretation by the market here which is obviously crazy. Even more money to be made here
after hours - 791k shares.....
Quite a bit of chatter around Alligin and the success BP is having there. does anyone think todays SP action is related to that (ie drawing attention to the fact that Hurr has making good success WoS - despite all the negative bleating)?
before we get carried away we need to see if this rise is sustained throughout this week. But hopefully the market is recognising the potential of 20k barrels a day and a P/E of just 2 which is a tenth of the sector average
has anyone noticed a consistent flow of 50k buys coming through over the last few weeks with a number of them this morning? Too big for PI's, could be an institution hovering up shares at a crazy price?
FTSE down along with a number of oil majors incl. BP down 1.73% but we are up 1.42% - bodes well for Monday. we've reached the bottom and if we haven't then I'll keep buying at these prices
as long as it is pumping (and soon will be doing 20k p/d) and pumping out cash this price is a steal. Yes it may go lower - then the prospect of making a 5x gain in the next 3 months is a real possibility
