With share price drops of these levels you would think it might be wise to issue a clarificatory RNS rather than the bland statement put out yesterday. they needs to start putting some effort in PR rather than treating the company like a grand scientific experiment
at the current multiple HURR starts to look v attractive to suitors - could "interference" start to become an option
Having re-read the RNS a number of times it dawned on me that the tone used was one of cautious optimism and trying not get shareholders and market participants carried away - and obviously that has backfired spectacularly. I wondered if the "tone" was influenced by the RNS about media speculation on 8/11. The hints at connectivity are clear but they are doing further testing. They do not talk about lack of commerciality as they did at WW - for me this is a clue as to future potential
I find it weird that people are talking about WW and WD and Lancaster...but not Lincoln which will most certainly be a producer. Yes that will take time but if Lancaster holds good and Lincoln comes online this stock is a steal at these prices.
Folks need to calm down here - there's oil there and there's oil at LC (flowing at a much greater rate). Its only a question of time before all of this gets monetised.
the pictures that have been seen have been taken as genuine by much more qualified people than me - that is good enough for me. Critically I think if the news was not good we would have heard by now. For me its a question of whether the news is "good" or "outstanding"
yes - exactly the question - are the fields in communication hence the additional time to validate. But we have had plenty of flaring pics....
given the mood music from last night and no RNS today I can only conclude they have some good amount data to sift through that will be encouraging. Hoping it will be significant when it comes.
In my opinion, the longer the wait the better the announcement. If there is something to announce on connectivity then I think the implications of that will require more careful consideration and communication. just my humble view. To that end I would be happy to wait until next week for something important.
Disagree - we are already at the level achieved with LC. success at WW would see this elevate to a higher level (ge 50-60) particularly if accompanied by a new CPR / reserves uplift. WD has acted as a drag on the SP for the last several months - success at WW would get the monkey off the shoulder.
the usual scaremongering from the MMs this morning and its not having the desired effect - hardly any shares changing hands. Hopefully see the price firming -up throughout the day for a finish over 46.
........no news is good news? with the price build yesterday - if that continues today then I can only conclude the news will be significant and positive....when it comes.
£4.65 here we come
less volume because less people are selling!!!
lots of bot buys going through at the minute - all the black boxes are pointing to an increase
the price moves in the past 30 mins suggest something might come tomorrow...
Friday
thanks FB and agree. IMO the longer we wait for the results the higher the likelihood of some such announcement as they will have presumably a lot of data to sift through and the nature of any such announcement would require a lot of thought.
...theres been some debate over whether connectivity between LC and WW is good, bad or indifferent. I have always been of the view that it would be highly significant as it might point to an absolutely huge find and thereby have a transformational effect on the SP - any comments?
....do we see a breakout from here - I see this easily moving through 55p on good news this week on the basis that we're nearly at the level achieved with LC
