RE: Plenty of Room for Upwards SP25 Mar 2021 07:22
Cuddles, there are a lot of people in here who are much more knowledgeable about Amigo than I am. You might be right. I have watched a few videos of people vs Amigo on Youtube and these were uploaded by people who really are not the brightest candles on the cake and on a few of them I had the feeling they were not honest. One should not judge a person on their living standards, but the inside of their homes, as far as these were shown, clearly showed a lack of the basics, when it comes to cleanliness and basic decoration, but in the kitchen there were always plenty of empty bottles to be seen. Some strange priority if the fridge is empty, the furniture is trash and the ancient wallpaper is peeling off. But there you go. Regrettably, it is exactly these kind of people who will fall for the likes of Debt Camel, thinking the helpful CMCs are charitable organisations who will help them to get a big slice of money back for free. But there is another thing that puzzles me. It was not long after the CMCs were told to lay off the banks with their PPI claim schemes, that they turned on lenders like Amigo and Provi and I am not certain at exactly which point and why the FOS and FCA got involved. Amigo and Provi might sink or swim because of their scheming, but it is only a matter of time until the FCA will start investigating what is going on inside their unholy halls, for they are clearly just as bad with their schemes and unlike the lenders, they are proper rip-off-merchants.
Whether Amigo goofed up their standards, is something that has been apologised for (even though he had nothing to do with it) by GJ and is being addressed by the relevant team of Amigo ever since. Also, I believe around 70 staff of Amigo were dismissed after that? Not sure if these were rogue agents or if that had other reasons. I am sure their court will acknowledge the efforts that are going on in Amigo in order of sorting out the claims and even informing former customers, that they can forward a claim on their own behalf. From an article somebody posted a link up to in here yesterday, only a small number of these claims are actually valid.
Oh and btw :-) I'm not a man, but that's ok :-)
