Presumably if CINE is to distribute an RNS tonight, it would have to be after 9pm and before 8am tomorrow to coincide with the opening and closing of both the US and UK listing.

I will lose my sanity. I don’t understand how a company can have nothing to tell it’s shareholders for this long.

To answer your question, I don’t think so.

But I’ve just remembered that someone contacted investor relations and they have a few months after today to actually file the result of the test with the lenders.

I think dissenting payment is due today too, but is it possible that CINE could choose to not inform shareholders and just say ‘we don’t think it’s major info’?

You mention that Mooky was quick to announce good news towards the end of last year. You must remember that at that time, Cineplex was not a major issue as it is now. Mooky needs to be careful about what he says. If he gives the impression that the company is high flying and great, then if we lose the appeal what grounds would CINE have to seek a payment plan?

Agreed that his communication has been painfully insufficient. I agree that lenders are not likely to cave this company today or ever for that matter. Let’s remember that when the cinemas were completely shut AND when it looked like streaming was going to become the new standard, lenders still came through. Obtaining a waiver almost looks certain to me if it is needed.

I just don’t see why Mooky would wait until now to announce this. Within the next 24 hours I think we will find out, I hope it is decent news.

@Cruis, as I said, that’s the way I interpreted it. Mooky came across as calm and collected. He appeared to be confident.

I also just mentioned that what he said in this case could be to get a bit of leniency. It is an open secret that CINE isn’t in calm waters.

Seriously itching for an RNS. Last year we got an RNS regarding trading by this point.

Praying for complete payoff of dissenting shareholders and RCF reduced to 35%.

I know we have had our differences in the past, but I fully agree with you regarding that statement. It really was not nice to read, very blunt. Bearing in mind that Mooky was in court at the time and it was not being transmitted anywhere else to my understanding, so I think Mooky was being quite honest there.

Either that or maybe he was putting a negative spin on it in the hope of getting a bit of leniency.

Ah wait, it says ‘suspended prison sentence’.

That is a mistake on my part, I think that means he is not going to prison but has the fine to pay.

RNS should be tomorrow or this evening. I think by Friday at the maximum. I’m anticipating that CINE have mixed in the news about the dissenting payments and RCF covenant into one large trading update.

I don’t quite know if the execs are trying to be quiet for the sake of the case. I think it is sort of a case now of ‘just trust me bro’ from the execs, we don’t know what they are doing but we just have to trust that they will find a way out of it.

We discussed the existence of BC 1232743 last week, and we were informed that as recently as February the company’s registration had been renewed.

I really hope to see the days where people were overjoyed and buzzing on this bb, and people sending rockets etc etc

If we get some really great news (RCF and dissenting payment successful and Cineplex dealt with) then I think this bb will be busy again. I remember on the day I sent the AGM info after it had finished and it got over 30 likes from what I remember, all from different people. I think there are a lot on the sidelines. CINE in itself is a good investment, it’s just these headwinds which are serious at the moment. Once they pass, I think many will flock to CINE. Let’s wait and see what happens.

Good afternoon @shazabo, there was a delay and CINE sought a waiver and were successful (I think for the dissenting payment and for the convertible bonds as well if I remember correctly).

No confirmation if they are going to be able to pay, but just taking a look back at the RNS, CINE states that they have sought the waivers with the intention of maximising liquidity, which makes me believe that perhaps it isn’t so much to make sure they can pay, but rather to ensure they have as much money as possible to reduce the RCF to <65% utilisation.

That is my understanding of it.

@HNS, do you know when this was published/released? I hope it hasn’t been just today after market close because otherwise we are in for quite a red Monday.
