I am very much amongst the longs. But I would say that the ‘moderates’ can be split into two sub-categories. You have moderates that tend to look on the more bullish side, but are also extremely objective and well-articulated with their opinions (the likes of HNS and RS etc). You then also have the moderates who, let me say ‘err on the side of caution’ (the likes of FunInvestor and Hexam).

I don’t think either of them are derampers or shorters, just that their outlook and opinion of the company does not match mine. If disagreement didn’t exist then CINE would just be up and up and up every day, disagreement makes the stock market.

Either way, I am grateful for the contributions of everyone (unless they’re an obvious deramper). I think everyone is aware of the risks that exist here; the majority of people here are just like myself (waiting for a rise and down considerably), so I guess we just have to wait and look out for a rise :)

@lpd, good evening, I did see your comments about booking early. The issue is that my unlimited card is for a certain group of cinemas only and the 4DX one is out of that group, so if I’d like to go for 4DX I can only go in person on the day and book in that way.

It’s a shame, I wish CINE would make a more efficient way of paying the uplift necessary online so I can book in advance, but hey ho.

Could you advise on what % of people had concessionary items?

Tried to watch it yesterday but my only option for 4DX was an early evening showing. The entire thing was packed solid. Only a few seats here and there and they were between other people, front row was occupied as well from what I can remember.

Will have to try and get a seat during the week, but it’s looking very good indeed. Better than Dr Strange imo, will be interesting to see how the box office performs over the weekend.

Really great to see such a joyous atmosphere here today after our second notable consecutive rise in a row, pretty much completely devoid of derampers too. Sure, it’s small, but it all starts from somewhere.

Also great to see anewman and PrettyWild dropping back in, feels like a small reunion!

They were a truly great addition to the board, along with smalltrader imo who also has not posted site-wide for a while now.

Both left following the court case fallout IIRC.

@lpd, I don’t know him/her personally, but it looks like their last post was on the 26th April, about a month ago.

Ever since the release of the court result in December the IR email has been quite dysfunctional. The majority of emails I have sent haven’t got a reply unless they are easy to answer in my experience.

I would suggest perhaps replying to the same thread and saying that it’s just a small reminder in case if your original email slipped past their inbox. Your email is just fine as well.

The rise will be explosive, this sp has been long suppressed. Anyone who opens a short here places themselves at extreme risk imo (then again, the same could be said as a LTH lol)

@Wellington, I think the main concern are all the connections. There are just too many in number to give me confidence that this was a fully unbiased and fair ruling. Further, bias can be subconsciously applied if my understanding is correct, so even if Judge Conway did not have intent to make an unfair ruling (if that is what has taken place) then it may have happened inadvertently, hence why it is important to see what has happened.

No doubt that the information has now reached Mooky and other relevant individuals, and there will be discussion taking place as to how feasible this is from a legal perspective. Maybe we get news that the court has launched an investigation, or maybe we never hear about it again.

Yes, Polaris have reduced but not by too much. They also did this a few months ago just like they’ve done now, afterwards they increased again.

I would keep an eye out, any major shareholder reducing their holding massively would concern me, but I believe that this is negligible.

@Hexam, I think that Debenhams is a completely incomparable company. Yes, you are correct in saying that operating does not equal profitability, but CINE as a business has much higher operating margins than a company like Debenhams. The two are country miles apart.

I don’t believe you are a deramper, I believe you have a genuine invested interest in this company, and you frequently post very useful information. I do believe we have very different perspectives as to how we look at this company’s performance, and that is ok. Disagreement is what makes the stock market run :)
