I say it because of the manner in which the CEO left. Why did he depart so hastily?

So CEO is out, and with immediate effect. I wonder what is going on there. It is not ordinary for a CEO to just depart like that. If it’s a controlled exit, then they set a timeline and departure date.

So now, let’s see what happens at the next results. My guess is that something nasty is on the horizon with the way he left. Andrew was also speaking very positively in the conference call last earnings, all about good capital allocation.

He also said that by year end we would hear news of either more share buybacks or acquisition, all on pause now.

Hello everyone, LTH here since 2021.

Admittedly, the investment has now lost so much value that I barely look at it these days, but noticed that results were out and the large sp drop. I haven't seen anyone mention here that the balance sheet is now showing negative shareholder equity (liabilities exceeding assets).

I will assign that to the fact that they haven't received the proceeds from NASB sale yet, but if they are talking about further disposals to handle deleveraging then maybe we should all hit the ground running and get out considering how well they managed to screw up the NASB disposal. That does not inspire confidence.

Still no CEO replacement found either - the company is obviously in a bit of sh*tstorm at the moment, but it is during times of fear that big money is made. I am not opening my wallet to buy any more shares yet until the direction of travel is clear, though.

They're out to make money. I surmise that they have probably fixed it up a little bit, like putting lipstick on a pig, and then will try to offload it by IPO.

Lol - completely disconnected from reality. Destroyed so much shareholder value so efficiently, and now he's getting a fresh start! I am fortunate that I have managed to recover a lot of the loss from my investments in the US back in 2022 when the market was down.

But lesson learned anyway! Hope things are going well from your side.

Indeed, it is not a lot, but something is something. I did listen to the presentation they broadcasted at 4 today, the CEO seems confident and competent. I may carry out a little DCF later to see how much value there could be here, but at first glance it looks promising.

Insanity that this stock has been just down and down for weeks, and then a slightly bad results has plummeted it! Must be value at this stage, the stock is down to 2014 levels.

Nice dividend coming up too.

Any reason why this has just been a constant decline? I find it crazy that despite relatively decent trading performance in a challenging macroeconomic environment, the market simply isn't happy and continues to beat this down.

With the exception of a fairly large debt pile, is there something I have missed as to why the market is showing such a lack of confidence?

I say it as a former Cineworld shareholder before they smoked us all. CEO stated that we were in it together, and was the biggest shareholder alongside his family.

Meanwhile, he made an underhanded deal with the creditors to quickly finish the restructuring and wipeout, in the end he got multi-million pound payout from the creditors and vanished somewhere, still got advisory role in the new restructured company. Everyone else got shafted.

If you think something sinister is going on, take action now. Organise and mobilise, Cosmens only own about 20% so insufficient power to keep Garat in if you think the whole thing is a set-up. Now is the time to do it, once they implode the company and it is delisted, no chance there. Cineworld is the prime example, if we had known what was going on we would have taken action from the outset, instead we only found out about the underhand deals after everything had been finished and wipeout all but concluded.

I am in at 160p average, invested since 2021. I have mentally written off this investment, but the company has fundamental potential in the business model, just needs proper leadership to bring it into fruition.

I previously bought at 315 and sold out at 321, simply because of a change in financial circumstances.

At the current price, and the director buy now showing, I think it’s nice to get back in. I will just wait to see where it stabilises because it went down to 258 that day, so just want to see where it levels out then will re-enter.

Certainly could, more so for the microeconomic side in this case (improving consumer finances, more people able to take a holiday, that kind of thing).

Macroeconomically, it will also help EZJ, but their debt level and interest expense look relatively well-covered to me, so this was not a concern to start with.

Missed pretty much every consensus expectation.

Missed revenue by over $1bn, and loss per share was $5.46, compared to $2.22 estimate

Their share price is down $3.62, or about 2.03%, as of now.

Here we are with earnings in line with expectations 2 days ago and the market nearly ripped us to pieces, we were -5% at some stage that morning. If this was EZJ, I assume we would have double-digit share price?

For all intents and purposes, I do hope Boeing can recover from their current problems, but it is surprising to see the difference in market reaction!

Current share price is clearly not an accurate indicator of value. My guess is that the CEO is putting out a bad signal, either incompetence or conflict of interest, or a mix of the two.

If he is ousted, alongside chairman, share price can do easy +50-60% on the spot. That is the only good prospect.

Not to interject, but just a reminder that everyone is in it for the money.

I carried out my analysis here and determined that EZJ is undervalued currently and on the basis of its future results. Therefore, I invested.

Everyone is doing the same thing, including those in the US and everywhere around the world. That is the idea behind efficient market hypothesis, a fair value is eventually found.

I held IAG for 3 years from 2021, in the red all the time, and then sold it last year at 183 at a loss because of impatience, look at what I missed. Patience is the key ingredient when it comes to companies like this.

Can you imagine? EZJ is not well-received by the markets if that’s the case!

If it falls, it’s another opportunity…

I’ve had a look at the results today and saw it positively. I topped up at 487 in the morning, and if the low price persists then I’ll top up again.

I’m wondering why people are saying beware of O’Leary? What can he do or say that will cause a panic for EZJ? Does he have some kind of habit of saying something negative and it brings the whole sector down?

I’m interested in attending the AGM on the 13th. Shares are currently held in Trading 212, wherein they are held in an omnibus account. They have informed it is not possible to get the required documents to allow me to attend from their side. Common issue with low/no-commission brokerages.

I hold EU citizenship, so I assume it is permissible for me to attend.

Could anyone enlighten me on the process to attend? Last time, I bought a single share through a higher cost broker like IBKR and was able to get the documents to go, just wondering if there’s another way to go about it.

I’ve been eyeing EZJ for years now, have been in and out.

Came in at 505 on Friday and have set aside funds for further investment if/when the price falls further.

I did quickly skim through the financials and saw nothing of concern. Net cash is good and EZJ has solid credit standing. I also saw some traffic growth and recovering load factor. I will take a more thorough look through the 2024 Annual Report when I get a chance.

EZJ may be a good play as consumers continue to get squeezed due to poor macroeconomic conditions. A share to buy and place in the bottom drawer until later in my view - collect dividends for now.
