Hi Poindexter, Yes, I couldn't resist buying more at just over 30 as I thought they couldn't go any lower, then they continued dropping to 23p! Now things are looking more positive I suspect it will be difficult to sell them if dividends return and the share price continues to rise to a more sensible level. I was determined to sell after making 10-15% to avoid being too committed in Lloyds, but I agree with you, I will likely have ended up further increasing my long term hold in Lloyds!
Hi DGR, I was meaning that I hoped for a special divi to cover the postponed final divi of 2.28p for last years results and a reduced divi of 1.2-1.7p for this year all to be paid next May..... I do tend to be optimistic :)
Yes, that is also my concern. I have a few hundred thousand at an average in the mid 50's that obviously isn't brilliant but I wasn't too worried as it was for a long term consistent dividend income for when I retire within the next couple of years.
I obviously have no idea, but I am hoping for a special dividend for last year and a much reduced dividend for this year to amount to 3.5 -4p next May. I also bought a couple of hundred thousand more at just over 30p, so feeling happier about those at the moment ...... :)
Incredibly volatile share for no apparent reason! A potential vaccine will not stop the growth in Ecomm beyond the next 6 months?
Well hope things improve quickly for you and everyone else in difficulties through this terrible event.
I am usually over optimistic which has resulted in me being locked into Lloyds rather than crystallising large losses!
Longer term it was always the regular divi income that I was expecting from this share so will continue to hold in hope .... I do believe it will get back there, but have been thinking that for a long time now.
Obviously would like the dividend, but not sure what he means by his message. It may be that he would have preferred the banks to decide automatically when the crisis hit this year to withhold the dividend until the position became clearer, then to release funds as when appropriate as in the comment last month about the dividend being postponed rather than cancelled. My own hope is for the final dividend from last year to be paid as a special this year, and a dividend for this year at up to 50% of the level of last year. (Optimistic I know .... )
Agree, and with the focus being on Retail Ecomm it seems that it can only be a healthy picture both in short term and long term. Hopefully it'll be past the 5.18 soon ...... :)
A strange week..... was a bit concerned at the drop to 420 immediately after buying a few at 451, then a sudden swing right back up to the 480's! Looking at 600 as the longer term aim, maybe within 12-18 months. Everything seems to be in favour of rapid growth at the moment. Here's hoping ......
Seems like we have persuaded everyone else ....... :)
Agreed, one of the businesses potentially positively impacted by the situation. Will only boost future prospects IMO
Jinxed it worse than I thought ......!!!!!!
Yes, the fall doesn't seem to make any sense to me either with every indication of strong growth continuing. I bought a few more this morning at 451p just to send the back down again......
Would hope I can make 10/20% on that over the next 6 months?
