Well, they didn't have to release this RNS but they did. Good news. Shows good form of the BoD.

Some posters, like 1307, are still questionably negative, even after this RNS, while saying to be invested here, but seem to be bullish on SNG and questioning there why a BBC article doesn't have a positive effect on the SP there. Yeah, right.

So, although rule 2.2 clearly states that an announcement has to be made if the BoD is made aware of the intention to make a firm offer, in this case that rule is superseded by the Take Over Panel's granted dispensation from rule 2.4 and 2.6 because of the FSP. It is clearly there in black and white.
One just had to learn to read instead of highlight independent articles.

So one cannot conclude there has not been a formal offer made just because EUA has not RNSed it. By the same token one can also not conclude an offer has been made.

We will just have to wait and see. How hard can that be?

Short means you hope for a company doing bad and subsequent destruction of value.

Completely different approach to live. One is admirable, the other just ugly greed. Maybe someday you will be at the receiving end of the stick and you will figure out which is which.

Fantasy, don't worry, I lost plenty here. Just not this round. I was here before it was VAST so I've seen the same stories for quite some years. That is exactly the reason why I don't understand why people don't see the trend. Assets great, management consistently terribly incompetent.

Fantasy, I don't post here much anymore. Once it became clear that AP was spinning one lose promise after other in his pod casts and Q& A sessions (and this is well over 2 years ago), it became very clear to me that this would never work with AP in charge.
It also taught me the importance of being able to trust AND rely on the BoD of the companies invest in.

I've said so many times before but people don't want to listen to history. Many people are just blinded by the spin of the upward potential without regards for performance.

What you say about AP is very true in my view. However, I'm not sure the chance will be given as I wouldn't put it past him to have all of this planned out from the beginning to take the company private and shaft all shareholders. How else can one expalin yhe sheer incompetence displayed here?

Bodmin, you hit the nail on the head. Seems like quite a few people invest with expectation of instant gratification. Have a look at what happened to GGP. If I had walked when Newmont did I would have lost a lot. I stayed and look where they are now. They went from a low of 0.4 to a high of 38. Same is happening here. Investing is super fun but a long term game. Guess that's why they call us share 'holders' instead of share traders. LoL
