George Frangeskides, Chairman at ALBA, explains why the Pilbara Lithium option ‘was too good to miss’. Watch the video here.
Afternoon.
thanks for that insider info Bellers, I had my top up last week so will still reap the benefit ;)
Shi-ehook will be thrashing about, puce in the face, screaming about blatant market manipulation.
Evening,
Rockhead, I think there are going to be many boosts of encouragement to the share price and the Geos are going to provide quite a few of them over the next few months. I'll bet you wish you were younger and involved. Did you find your trade/
Good lick to us all and bring on the first gold pore, who knows what the moaning will bring.
Good evening,
Carliol, thanks for sharing, it was most informative, but more importantly it means Rock, Glen, myself and probably a few others don't have to nip down to Specsavers too soon. We were looking for something we were not allowed to see, it wasn't failing eyesight or brain death.
Afternoon,
Carliol, Does that rosette thingy next to your name mean you have premium membership of LSE?
If so, that is probably why you see trades from the 29th. Us mere mortals can only go back to the 30th.
Afternoon,
Yayay, you are not alone, I bought an odd number in my SIPP to balance up those in my ISA.
That just made matters worse, I then had to buy more in each account to round both off, comically pathetic really!
It's a good job I can laugh at myself.
Afternoon,
Speaking of trades, i had a couple of buys last week. i managed to catch a dip which is not normal for me.
However I have now finally managed to get my SGZ holding to a nice round even figure. The world is balanced again, in equilibrium.
Yayay will understand, what was the phrase he used, Teutonic mindset ?
Morning,
Glen you are not alone, I can't find them either.
Morning,
CP, up to 2017 the company used to give an analysis of shareholders in the annual report.
It gave the number of people holding a range of shares, eg, how many held between 10k and 100k, or how many held over 100k. It also showed whether they were Aim or Australian. It allowed people to take a stab at where their holding was in the greater scheme of things.
Now we get a list of the substantial shareholders, which is good for instilling a few pangs of envy and waking the green eyed monster, but little else use to us mere mortals. I would like to see the analysis reinstated, and so I am sure would others.
Should we ever have an AGM again perhaps this could be raised? Or even mentioned in passing?
Bellers, what's the plan for when the grass stops growing?
Afternoon,
Too big? I like the sound of that, so much so I'll repeat it. Too big....
So big that it will require the output from the first two mines to fund it?
The significant Scottish gold mining industry?
Afternoon all,
It is Glen, beautiful and big!
It's great that we seem to be getting a weekly update pic.
Evening,
Rockhead, I have long thought this should have been been the official SGZ anthem.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rGKfrgqWcv0
Perhaps this is now more apt.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3UUWkr4FUlo
There will be many more over the next few years
Regards all.
Evening all,
CP52, I think that RNS is one of my favourites, If there ever was a statement of intent there it is.
I will enjoy the one that confirms production started however.
Regards all.
Has anyone found any information about them yet?
Morning all,
CP thanks for all the info, welcome as ever.
If there's a visit I'd love to attend.
Regards all.
Afternoon all.
I'll go for the second week of October, it would make a fine birthday present.
Regards
Morning all.
Yayay, I'm glad to hear your mam did her bit to stop panic buying. It's Important, Scotgold shares must be getting as scarce as bog roll.
Rock, I have just realised I haven't seen any money in weeks. Could this be the start of the cashless society?
RM, thanks for the good wishes.
Stay safe all.
Evening all.
Yayay, was that your long awaited buy at 0817?
If so congratulations.
Stay safe all.
To continue,
I am still awaiting the financial benefit of the aborted share buyback scheme, I suspect I will never see it. " return value to shareholders" Fat chance.
The company made this statement when it cancelled the share buyback scheme:
The Company will be keeping the position under review to assess opportunities to undertake further share repurchase exercises in future, subject to prevailing market conditions.
I would hope they pay dividends first, including this cancelled one.
The priority should be shareholders dividends not buyback schemes.
Sirrifus,
I couldn't agree more. A small but very important element of my retirement income has been removed to..................
"preserve the Group's strong balance sheet during this period of heightened uncertainty."
Then to add insult to injury the Company RNS reiterates how strong it's financial position is.
"DLG continues to maintain strong solvency. At 31 March 2020 the Group's Solvency II coverage ratio (unaudited) was estimated to be towards the top of its 140% to 180% risk appetite range at 176%. In normal circumstances, the Group would be well placed to pay the final dividend, taking the Group's solvency to 161%"
Having watched the share price fall steadily for 4 years the dividend was the only light in a gloomy existence, that's gone now, with a further fall in share price as well. I generally make it a rule never to solidify a loss but I wonder if it's time to cut and run. Absolutely no reason to hold this share now.
What next? can we expect a windfall tax on insurance companies because of their huge cash balances?
Evening,
RM, I do hope Boris recovers , he's needed.
RH, congratulations on your latest addition.
Baz, fit and well I hope? Happy birthday if RH is correct.
Keep well all. Coffin dodging is the only the game in town.
Regards.
