I can understand some people selling today. Not me btw, though I did sell a tiny percentage of my holding on Wednesday for a seed capital investment that came my way.
Historically there has been a run up in sp to anticipated news, and more often than not, a decline following the news (or absence of news). You can't blame folks for taking advantage of a repeating pattern.
I guess it depends on your reading of the science / lab results / trial results released so far, whether you take some profits now or wait for what could be massive profits after the next trial update. I'm holding for the latter :)

Then Thursday is the first day of the new tax year - I think quite a few have been waiting to put more into their 2023/24 ISA allowance. I know I have :)

I am convinced on the science of moditope and immunobody - I am a technical person and have done the research - the mechanism is beautiful and genius, far more so than any other cancer biotechs I am aware of. We have backed the right horse as far as I can tell!
Also, Scancell is worth more than current market cap just on the MAB's - recent deal with genmab worth over $600M. Not to mention AvidiMab...

Relax, this is AIM, price and value rarely coordinated in the short term.

Agree sunshine, the reduction metrics are highly relevant, just to be taken with a tiny pinch of salt until they are confirmed via official channels.
And I don't think anyone is expecting the experience of one patient to apply to all - Scancell have already updated us on progress and made it clear that one patient is doing exceptionally well and many others are also doing 'well' but not such exceptional tumour shrinkage (as we have established, 'stable' can include absolute growth or shrinkage).
Obviously the moditope impact is progressive, so it is fair to hope that some degree of partial or potentially total response will eventually be seen in some of the patients.
I think it is fair enough to get a bit excited about results so far, bearing in mind this is just the mono arm of the trial, but lets be clear - nobody is expecting the spectacular response seen on one patient to be replicated across the board at the next update. And the sp certainly reflects this.

News on many fronts could come any day.
If you are out you could miss the big one.

ratcliffewriter, you actually need to draw a circle with diameter 4cm, next to a circle with diameter 1.8cm to visually see the difference. A line doesn't cut it!
And obviously the actual tumour is in 3 dimensions, so even this doesn't truly show the reduction in volume.

Volume of a 4cm diameter sphere = 33.51 cubic centimetres
Volume of a 1.8cm diameter sphere = 3.05 cubic centimetres

So, in volume terms, this is a whopping 90% reduction !!!

I hope those with better knowledge than I can educate as as to what is the correct measurement when trials talk about percentage reductions.

Hasiba, I'm just going by what my online account will let me buy on auto - and it's max 10k for 16p. Anything higher goes to negotiated, hence the limit order.

You can only actually buy 10,000 shares at 16p.
I've put in a limit order to buy 50,000 - been sitting there for 20 mins, lets see if it gets hit.

barchart.com just runs a technical indicator algorithm. Not relevant for AIM stocks, probably not useful for any stocks - if we could predict the stock market by maths alone without the context of news / domain knowledge, everyone would be rich.

crumbs, that's interesting - cohort 1 patients have obviously had more time for moditope to do its thing, so very reassuring that at least some of cohort 1 are showing s good response.

You can sell up to 250,000 on auto inside the advertised spread, and buy at least 60,000 inside the advertised spread (possibly more, didn't have the funds to check)

Ahhh OK. That is odd, but I'll take your word for it.

It's not really a vagary of the system, it's IG covering the spread-bet by buying the shares in the market.
Firms like IG won't carry the risk on an AIM share.
