We have covered this before. When they quote the numbers it is to the individual proteins.
Ultimately what matters is signal per virion. This is a function of the number of each component proteins that you are measuring and the sensitivity for these proteins (all other thing being equal).
S1 is larger than N so for the same weight you have fewer proteins, however there are >10x more N than S1 proteins per viron, taken together, a test which has a sensitivity for N of 400pg/ml will be more sensitive (per virion) than a test for S1 which has a sensitivity of 300pg/ml

It will also be interesting to see how the RNA vaccine based anti-cancer methods develop in this area now that their proof of concept has accelerated with the covid vaccine. I think that the problem with these is that it will be harder to regulate and fine tune and ultimately turn off, so a mAb or Affimer based approach should have less chance of unintended negative consequences .

I think that the money is starting to look forward to later this year. Q1 will be heavily impacted, but after this the shops should be open, there will still be a lot of restrictions, so like last year, I think that it is likely to be another year with lots spent on peoples homes.

There is a lot to like about Adeptrix whether they are using Affimers or mAbs .
We have no way of knowing to what extent the Sars Cov2 BAMS has played a role in the link with Bruker, it probably helped to highlight the potential of the technique, however, Affi BAMS approach has lots of potential in many areas of both research and diagnostics and fits well with Brukers Maldi ToF offerings.
Note, from what I have read Adeptrix’s other products currently use mAbs for their Affi BAMS. Hopefully the use of Affimers will increase going forward. Affimers do have the advantage of being small which reduces the number of background peptides compared to mAbs if using a tryptic digest (arguably, using an rna based Aptimer could be even better for this though).
I assume that the N protein BAMS uses Affimers but they could be using mAb's although this would increase the number of background peptides if doing a tryptic digest.
As has been the case for the past six or more months, there is a dearth of information about what the BAMS Sars cov2 assay being trialled actually is/involves, so along with the much vaunted NDA’s etc, it all just ends up just being speculation at the moment.

You should have either brought at the drop in March or the dip in November- this stock is never heavily shorted , would be too risky as it has consistently performed well and usually surprises to the upside.

I did wonder if the £/$ fx headwinds would have a larger impact but with valuation gains of of 6.3% for the month we are still left with a healthy rise.

I came to this by way of SDL, this has continued to perform strongly winning contracts with the US navy and the US Government Publishing Office in the past couple of months.
Both companies held up well throughout the past year but there was an impact. There should be scope for both a bounce back in the affected areas as well as gains from synergies between the companies going forward.
I also think that the share price is still slightly supressed by the repositioning of II's after the merger, due to RWS being on AIM and SDL having been in the FTSE250 (all be it briefly).
They have also said that the new financial year has started slightly ahead of their expectations.

Now down to just under 25% of stores open. They were getting approx 30% of revenues from online sales so this will help.
I wonder if they will repay the 14m furlough payments now? They said that they would if there was no further disruption this winter which has clearly not been the case. They cannot be happy that the likes of The Range, with just a minimal Iceland franchise, can remain open whilst they are forced to close.
