This could be a real boost for RTO, the study should certainly help them with their marketing.

I think that their debt linked to the libor rate is more likely to be one of the main reasons for the greater fall relative to some other growth/tech companies.

Look at HSBC (50% business in China), this is much more likely to be directly impacted by problems with Evergrade and does not show the same trend - it is just market rotation.

I am not convinced, it is a pretty tenuous link to say that the fall is because they do business in China. Robert Walters has 40% in China and look at their share price trend....I also hold prv and that has not gone down in the same way either.
It is all about rotation out of growth/tech, plenty of other showing the same trend as aveva that are not on your list.

Are you sure you are talking about Aveva (the industrial software company) rather than Aviva, the insurer that has a property portfolio?
This seems to be responding in the same way as other tech/growth stocks with a nice bounce today.

Q1 trading update this time next week.

The U.S. will spend $1 billion to quadruple the availability of at-home rapid coronavirus tests by the end of the year, the White House announced yesterday.

They have done it a few times way back - but I think those were for cancelation, these are going into treasury.
I assume that they will bundle them up and sell them on to a II at some point in the future, this would be at a premium to what they are paying now ( but at a discount to the sp at the time).
I guess that the discount is such that they feel this offers a better return than re-investing in PE.
Next months NAV should have a good fx tailwind, they must also have a better view of the forward pipeline/nav than we do so I suppose that it shows they are confident that this looks positive going forward.

Aircraft production gaining momentum -

If you look at Lloyd's sp you can see the reverse trend -down from May - then up as these others go down.

It has been the same for many perceived 'growth' stocks - look at halma, experian, rto, although aveva has dropped more than some of the others - as it is also a tech stock (which are also moving out of favour). There was a rotation into these from around May and it has just reversed (very quickly) with a switch back into cyclics and recovery stocks now that there is reducing worry about the Delta variant and increasing concern about inflation.
Rightly (or wrongly) I have been topping up in some of these as there are good long term reasons to hold them, also many have high $ earnings which will benefit from a weaker sterling. I would have thought that aveva's exposure to energy companies should now be a positive rather than the negative it was considered last year.

Because Samuel sold 5M @5p back in early June and things have moved on nicely since then.

Things look like they are starting to pick up for the airplane manufactures which should bode well for Vel and possibly explains the interest from Braveheart.

It is understandable that they have been conservative, If I have understood it correctly, HBE should still add 0.56m pbt (25% pbt on 28k units @£80.00) although in cash terms it should be higher as they have already paid some of the costs upfront. There will additionally be revenue's associated with the new Vodiac offering.

It will be interesting to see what revenues they get from LBE's through the winter. We have not seen a normal season for this yet although they must have some idea from the usual pre covid footfall in these venues.

They are clear about no dilution with further share placements - I have to say I was surprised (but happy) by this statement given that they tried (but then withdrew before the vote ) an option for issuing up to 20% at the last AGM.

I think that it all looks very promising for the next couple of years and hats off to the management for guiding the company so well through a very difficult couple of years.

It looks like this was well received. It was a good set of presentations by the company with increases across most metrics projected for the next few years.
Personally I think that their Pest Connect will be a winner. It offers better monitoring and reduced rodenticide use and should become a very strong marking point for them to play to companies who are looking for suppliers with good ESG credentials. It will also offer a large barrier to more 'old school' pest control who would be competing for tenders against them.
Of the main competitors only Anticimex has also gone down this route so it puts them in a good position compared to all of the other key players.
On hygiene they are back in Europe and are looking to establish expand their services in this region.
Reorganisation of corporate reporting , has notably, left French Work Wear on its own - clearly a prelude to being sold off when the right offer comes along.

Rather muted response - 9.8% increase in nav, a director buy and we only creep up 2.4% ....
Hopefully once the seller is done it will re-rate to its more typical (although still too large) discount.

Another 10% on the sp and it will be heading back into the FTSE 250- which will help as a further drive going forward
