Built a gas plant from scratch?

Do you think all the other gas plants in the world came in kit form from the local Walmart?

Of course it’s built from scratch, but the equipment used in the system is most likely tried and true designs that has been used many times before in other gas plants, so it’s not new technology, and it’s not rocket science.

Consistently shocked by the people in here that STILL don’t understand how well testing works. You start at the bottom, test, plug, and then test higher up, plug, test higher up, repeat, etc. While it is physically possible to perforate an interval and then isolate it to do something below, it is not straight forward, carry’s risks, and is expensive.

So to sum that up. BOTTOM FIRST, THEN MOVE UP IS HOW WELL TESTING IS DONE. THERE IS NO SELECTING ZONES BASED ON THEIR CHANCE FOR SUCESS IF IT INTERRUPTS THE BOTTOM TO TOP ORDER!

The winner was not hoping for a delay, but priced as such, and duhhhh. These people in Trinidad wouldn’t move fast if they were on fire. They make their own bed and they lie in it. Upset they don’t have it better, but don’t do the right things to get themselves out of the situation they have gotten themselves into. The resources are there, should be working 24/7 to get them out of the ground while there is still a major market for it. World may be quite different in 30 years …

Trinidad has major issues with delays and cost over runs in it’s entire construction sector. So it’s not just TXP’s problem, but TXP could do something about it one our projects with more professional project management. At the end of the day, there is a terrible work ethic in Trinidad’s construction industry with lack of a competence in many disciplines including project management, people showing up late and going home early, and a host of other issues.

Just google it and you will find a couple of studies about the problem. So, it is a cultural thing, and it is across the whole construction industry (obviously not every single individual person). Also seems to be a general way of life there, and heard from many that getting things done in Trinidad is difficult. Why could that be? ? ? ?
