Those first two Casc wells were drilled with the idea to produce them, so they are dimensioned as a normal production wells.

Offshore they drill skinny exploration holes to go fast and cheap, but pobbly not so much on land.

Nothing confirmed as to spud of Casc 3, but if it isn’t underway already, it will likely be so soon. They did wait a bit after Casc 2 to spud before they announced it on social media.

They’ve had some time to do whatever they needed to do to finish Casc 2 now, so a spud of Casc 3 could in theory come on Monday. Walking the rig back to Casc 3 position will literally be done in like an hour.

The clearing for B pad and the flowline from Casc C to Casc A facility is completed, or will be completed early next week. Pad B looks cleared, so if there isn’t heavy equipment on site already flattening the B Pad getting it ready for concrete, there will be soon. The flowline routs is 1500 ft, which is half of Coho. Paul told me the actual welding for Coho was completed in 75 days, so figure half that or less. More welders on-site can make things go very fast. Just like the clearing here went faster than Coho.

So Casc 3 in March, Casc 4 or Casc B in April depending on Rio and license sing-offs. If not signed off then just move to B for April drill. Flowline from B to A could be hooked up and commingled with A production in May. The distance here between B and A is about 200m, so a weeks welding if done at the same speed as Coho welding. Totally doable. Casc C online sometime in Q2.

You shouldn’t write off Royston completely, there is a lot of oil in place, and the permiability and porosity of the reservoir could produce fine with a mini frac and or better mud management. This will likely be revisited in the future.

A lot of people were quick to write off Chinook as well. Kokane target is Chinook updip.

But by all means run around and scream duster if that makes you feel better.
