To be fair to the BoD, there isn’t anything additional to release. SAU confirmed the other day that a deal hasn’t yet been finalised, so BMV won’t have anything substantial to add to that. It’s just awaiting game I’m afraid, one that may turn out to be very profitable if all goes well.

On buying SAU. They’ll be wanting significantly more than £10-15m! Some of its assets have very good potential. Having them as a majority shareholder in BMV however, may tempt them to use BMV in bringing the other assets into production.

Well things are definitely looking-up. I was sceptical originally on whether or not SAU may have had another buyer lined-up, but doesn’t sound like they do from SM’s comments.

It’s amusing that Rob is criticising BMV yet is supporting VAST. I bailed-out of there luckily with a small profit at 0.2p. Since then it’s dropped to 0.08p in recent months and it’s consolidating on a 100/1 basis. They still require more cash, so will just do a raise once consolidated. I think I’ll stick with BMV thanks...

I’d agree, an £8m mcap is extremely low considering the assets SRES has. All it needs is to for CS to get up and running, then this should start flying.

It’s baffled me for a while. Considering we have so few shares in issue compared to many juniors in a similar position in the production life cycle, this really has the potential to move once we start producing.

I do admit I am a fan of BMV’s business model; go where the gold is known, head into production and then worry about further exploration. Out of the 30+ mining companies I own, this is one of my hopefuls for a big return. My regret is not topping-up when we were sitting at 1p!

I’ve been wondering what price range this would likely settle pre-news. 3p seemed far too low considering it was at 5.7p pre-valuation.

As China’s gold imports are increasing towards pre-Covid levels, hopefully we’ll see another upward trend appearing in the gold price, on the run up to us commencing production. Exciting times ahead for BMV.

You’re keeping this board going! I’ve not been keeping track of BMV lately. Just been waiting for the day my account is up a considerable amount, then I’d be checking in a lot more.

It’ll be nice to finally get some news (preferably good news), just so we know what’s happening and where things are heading.

Yeh I’ve just grabbed another 800k in preparation for it. Assuming MAST takes off, which I have a feeling it will due to where it is in the production cycle, it will naturally bump up KIBO’s share price. It happened each time KAT went up in price, we have a slight increase too, albeit not the same margin.

Fingers crossed the MAST produce some good news on Wednesday morning too.

Past experience points to SAU announcing things first. I liked it at first seeing SAU announce something the night before, but when it’s not the news you’re hoping for it has you wondering all night how the market will react the following day.

I think the main issue with LC has been the inability to produce anything in the timescales that he’s had.

KIBO itself has some great assets or potential assets I should say, but little has happened on paper in the last few years. KAT and MAST are nice to haves but I’m sceptical about how much we’ll retain in the future. KAT only owns 50% of Blyvoor and will likely relinquish part of that in order to gain funding, whilst on Haneti they may be able to complete a maiden drill project but will likely require a raise to continue further exploration meaning KIBO will lose a further percentage ownership. MAST will likely follow suit as the amount they’ve raised doesn’t enable them to carry out their long term plans. Plus, it’s going to be a few years yet until KIBO receive any revenue from either MAST or KAT.

LC needs to divert more attention to Benga, that is the thing that is going to unlock KIBO’s potential. Unfortunately the progress LC has made there is far from admirable this far.

It’s about time this started moving. It’s been a few years over due!

I’m surprised it didn’t move much higher when we got MAST’s IPO date as that theoretically puts KIBO straight to circa £12m itself and our own assets plus KAT are the icing on the cake.

I think the main thing is, news is ‘not too far off’. The ‘conclusion is on track to be a positive one’ is a difficult one because we don’t know if he means positive for SAU or for them and BMV.

It a difficult time at the moment as we have no timescales on anything and likely won’t until SAU’s 50% is sorted. It would be interesting to know if/how things are progressing on site and what the tranches of funding are being used for.

How is saying the value of the company is now considerably more than the current mcap a de-ramp?

It sounds as though you didn’t read the comment and made your own assessment of its content, or you failed to understand the message.

The main thing is, Fridays news has underpinned the current mcap and will have detracted a number of shareholders putting funds elsewhere. Prior to Fridays news, the mcap was at the lower range of what the company may have been sold.

Yes, from the sounds of it EUA have a little work to do before they obtain the 75%. However, it’s fair to say that with the new level of resource, it’s very unlikely indeed that the company would be sold for just $1b given it’s currently positions with cash, production and EPC contracts.

The share price may or may not move much today, but long term this will be worth more than the current mcap.

It’s a very good show of faith indeed. More so because for anyone else it would be a no brainer; exercise the options at a low price, then sell and triple your money. Unfortunately, for a Director it’s more difficult as doing so would cause uproar with other shareholders. Effectively, after the 600k sale, he’s just invested another £18,120 of his own money into the company.

It could be good business as well though. If the special dividend comes out at 0.755p or more, he’s made his back and would have increased his holding by 2.4m in the process.

Nice to see the share price heading in the right direction here. As much of a slow burner as this is (and always has been), the BoD continuously bring out good news and the share price does have a constant steady climb. Yes it would be nice if it just suddenly fired to 20p, but on the other hand, shares that rise quickly often fall at the same rate.

When I saw RNS announced, I was smiling like a Cheshire Cat. Then I read the title and it was a case of ‘oh this is the news we’re waiting for’. Still a positive update nonetheless.

It’s about time to be fair. The way things are currently heading (oil prices included), I’d have no hesitations with topping-up at any point up to 2p. This is so undervalued at the moment it’s baffling.

As SAU have said it should be finalised in H1, I’ve got the end of June in my head. Anything before that I see as a bonus.

Eventhough this is still going to be a long term hold for me (another 5 years). It will just be nice to see it finally up and running and heading in the right direction. The reason why I see it as a long term hold is because the exploration they’re looking at starting year 3 onwards could be a big game changer at Gubong. The area that the current tunnels cover is immense, yet much of it is still yet to be explored. My personal gut feeling is that once we get towards the upper range of production targets and produce some good drill results, Gubong (or BMV as a whole) will be bought out. I always remember Charles Barclay saying in an interview a few years back about how under explored Gubong was and that it could potentially contain upwards of 5m ounces. Even half of that and this would be going for over 100p.

Well luckily this board is fairly quiet, so you should be alright.

I was surprised when I starting doing the fag packet calcs earlier though. Originally this was more of a punt than anything. I saw the low mcap and that Gold Ridge was a quick route to revenue.

The Sunswept acquisition I do admit I’d dismissed slightly as the main reason we’ve taken it on is to show that we can acquire an oil play and have it running efficiently, enabling us to broker deals for larger assets in the future. At the current oil prices though, just off the BritNRG asset alone this should be over £10m or 2p (if not more).

I’ve got a portfolio of about 30 shares at the minute and I genuinely think MNRG is the lowest risk / highest reward out of the lot. I’ve actually been toying with the idea today of selling my remaining holding in EUA and putting it in here just because no one knows what their sale price will be, but when news starts flowing here, it is going upwards for certain. I’m only holding about 0.5% at the moment, so if I do I’ll be joining you with that +1%.
