waiting patiently for FPM to show a similar graph trend line as most E & P. It looks like it has woke up and heard a delayed starting gun. Age thing I suppose cos I have been waiting a long long time, with a long slide to 50p from 200p. Not unduly unhappy as added in the trough, but I feel a tad like Dana (now Delek) or PMG to a smaller extent and want to see a reasonable return - been a lesson learning ground for me this share !!!

No new holdings over 3% - couldn't understand it prior to latest deal, nor now. Pity we didn't have BP taking a further 5% as part of the deal. Mind that would have looked slightly unethical !!!!!!!

I note that Premier has sold its 5% stake in the Arran Development to Dyas. Did think that Serica would consider this purchase and go that route for Columbus. We will find out shortly re Columbus. Still holding my Serica shares, but been filling my boots with ECO and Chariot pre Christmas as Namibia is a play come September. We have a licence extension but with drilling taking place late 18 - early19, this is the window. Dry Hole cost of $29 million - small beer to BP to farm in and allow Serica to join the "gang"

Apols if my post confused the issue - the defect is on land about 10 miles from where I sit. Not heard any detail as of yet with regard to how they will repair. I mentioned hydrocouple/ Morgrip clamp as it is a pressure retaining clamp that fits around a defect and rated to the pipeline design pressure. lets see what transpires

lets hope Delek have better luck than Dana or Parkmead holding large tranches for a long time with an increase of... zilch. If this was on a subsea section, BP had a range of hydrocouples for a number of there pipelines. Will be interesting to know what NDT revealed the defects as I would assume the pipeline is buried at this location, unless at a pumping station. I'm sure the message is out that sooner rather than later is in the Uk's interest

Mav - I tend to keep a weather eye on free float and have watched it come down this year from 52% to around 43% pre news and now around 36%. Not indicative of Ii's buying as yet with the usual furore since news, it may even be astute PI's adding - but grist to the mill. No ramp or deramp - bumps on the way no doubt - note FPM and Tambar yesterday - but I consider this as solid as AIM gets. GLA

Slowly but surely the free float is coming down. We are around 36% (95.5m) now. Would suggest we have some stake building going on behind the scenes as it cannae all be enlightened new kids on the block. Warm cosy feeling

Only my thoughts but perhaps the market, is actively searching for the sweet spot that encourages peops to both buy and sell whilst waiting for a catalyst in regard to news to present itself? Back to sleep now, nursing a loss as an early investor - but time will tell. GLA

Columbus FDP in the new year which can't be anything but good news for Serica at long last. Whether Lomond or Arran will be of interest with regard to long term strategy. I could speculate in another 2 years, that the final BP jigsaw piece will be ETAP with around 8 years of life to go - bumps on the way but the strategy is pretty well laid out. Perhaps Serica has applied for Licences in the area around Rowallon/Erskine/Bruce, Keith, Rhum , we will know shortly, as I'm sure they reviewed extending the life of there assets - whilst the deal was going through. Personally I would like to see BP increase their holding to 10%, its always good to have a "green" knight.

I sold 100,000 in the mid 60's, rationalising that these sort of shenanigans would take place. Out from under the rock comes the volatility posters, but its just a game and should be ignored - why they think that opinions on here sway the market - is delusional. Re bought 50,000 today and will continue with any weakness - purely my own stance and happy to increase to 0.5%. Erskine told the story and Bruce, Keith and Rhum surely dotted the i's and crossed the t's. Once the buzzy bee's get fed up we can go back to solid earnings and increase in SP. GLA long termers

Bit of a lonely board this one Shadow, but I have a holding here and have a watching brief. Made a decision a few years ago to build a substantial holding in both FPM and SQZ - luckily for me one of my Christmas presents has been transformational. Did add a few more FPM around 55p and 70p, so no more for me - GL and lets hope FPM concentrate on the SP rather than MC going forward - it hasn't in the past!!

to see BP increase there holding from 5 to 10%, giving some protection against a takeover. Although I would surmise that it would have been part of the deal. There also sitting on a tidy sum, locked in until July 2018. As mentioned previously, Premier Oils part of the Arran Field is up for sale - another tasty morsel in the vicinity.
