Evening all.... I trust all the lths are keeping calm, I’m still holding my 7 lucky numbers and have opted to leave my stake in for results. 22 days gone, hopefully at least another 22 to go...
I’ve got a cask share on hold in a Scottish distillery... when we know the outcome I’ll be happy to send a few drams to the names on here Ive grown to know.

SP starting to rumble now...are the burners being lit?

Hi Nigella, yes I would have expected a rise this morning, similar to Sainsbury’s who also posted good figures. The SP did hit 5.40 recently so I presume a sell off was on the cards. I’ve noticed previously the price rally’s, falls off on news and then continues to build after the dividend payment, so hopefully good news continues. For how long though.... I do wonder if bme is a £6billion + company ? In the meantime I’ll look forward to the dividends.. ps great news for staff who get an extra week’s salary- nice touch from the bod.

I added another 5k shares today. I’ve said it before, this company seems to go from strength to strength and they value the shareholders. I think another trading update is due January? I’m hoping to see £5.40+ before the next dividend announcement.

Nigella.... no tax due if you trade them for profit in your uk isa. As you rightly state, we pay 15% tax in Luxembourg on any dividends. if we trade shares for profit outside of an isa account then uk tax relevant to your personal tax rate is due, payable with your usual year end tax payments.

I’m a bit disappointed that Simon Jacks or anyone at the bbc hasn’t reported this sale... he crucified metro for the past 12 months at every opportunity... maybe a bit of BBC non bias reporting for a change? Or are the short brigade still paying journalists their lunch money?
