where is your source ? Anyway at least what appears to be happening-at last-is that goldmining is going up against the general market at a peak going down.IF that continues investors will begin deserting their losing positions to join our more happy band,just as happened to us 2.5 years ago..GL

the Chinese plus others in the East appear to be raking in most of the gold. The difference in attitude in the East they buy more gold if if drops while in the West they sell it then.Also the East likes physical gold while the West seems to prefer paper gold ETF's which never allow gold delivery and thus allegedly have suspect backing..

-though the Fed. love dollars and hate gold -surely their masterplan to work involves inflating away those huge debts by inflation and lowering the dollar ? Doesn't seem to be working too well ?

well the cheap method as said was for Bernancke to tip off old friends from ex Fed bosses to give speeches saying tapering is coming.Which happened early last week.Which sent gold down sizeably then.I think they'll be trying all sorts of shenanigans to spook the gold markets.They don't like gold as it cannot be printed.In fact as I've said before,the larger goldminers might be realising they also have power-the power to cut supplies.Even at the height of the cold war enemies the USSR and S.Africa co-operated to keep supply of diamonds small and hold up the price.Signs of COMEX the main US gold exchange running out-a number of articles on that in Market Oracle.See under "commodities" and track back the last two weeks.Meanwhile see in India the spreads on gold increasing-a sign of poor supply.And gold smuggling increasing.We won't discuss where they hide it through Customs lol.

remember a year or so ago forecasting this might rival MKS one day-the company alleged to have begun over a century ago with one barrow in the market.At the time ASC was about one fifth of the size of MKS.Now ASC is 2/3rds of the way to MKS ! These gold rises are nice but expect more shenanigans from the Fed. Bernanke is getting ex bosses of the Fed. to spout forth about September tapering to do down gold..its' a cheap way of doing that without actually doing the tapering.I think they WILL taper but not at the rate of progress some expect.Yes the first might be in September as a symbolic gesture but thereafter who knows ?

I don't believe gold will go up linearly,there will be shenanigans from the Fed. they tip off someone connected or ex. members to spout forth about QE tapering coming which is a ploy to manipulate gold.If the rumours about COMEX running short of gold are true-see several articles on Market Oracle- plus we know physical gold is in demand in the East-that's why India and Pakistan have limited gold imports we are at least going to get a market that's up and down enough for us to trade it.Buy on the dips,sell on the spurts preferably in ISAable gold producers with lower spreads.Copy the Asians-they snap up gold when it falls unlike the West where they panic-sell on dips and buy paper ETF's even worse as no delivery is allowed.

China has only 7% of gold resources in home mines 3. Thanks for your continued efforts JT.I still hold that anyone can win this,though anyway I've always been last in this comp.On CNE -maybe Greenpiece did laugh last ?.On Mm old ex-muckers-AFE has only a few weeks of money by their own admittance but might snatch a late deal,with their ex-prodigal son MP involved, while RRR keeps doing placings, their 2 big deals have been hanging fire 8 months and over a year now! Some miners are showing signs of life even as the main markets might be nearing the top ? Investing appears our last hope as Carney isn't allowing much bank interest for many years.Will QE last a while too, and how can all that debt be paid off ?
