from my list of 18 or so UK based gold PRODUCERS ,the best charts based on the price of gold measured by the SPDR Gold Trust Index, GLD are for 1 month-in which GLD has only moved up 5%-52% up is OM1,60% up is ABG and best is AVM up 122% !

I stick to my guesses- 1. gold might rise for a short time after any Syria action is begun,then fall back IF it is over without more shenanigans.Though who knows on that ? The folly of world leaders in all countries at the expense of ordinary people is unpredictable.And that was a nonpolitical statement about politics.This is not a political forum in any case. 2. the QE/not QE might send gold down from mid month but it looks unlikely it will be fully over then or that the effect will be nice.Previous even just talk about that has sent interest rates soaring which would bring many more shenanigans 3. the fiscal cliff in mid October will be hit for the 3rd time.Can they put it off again ? Gold likely to react by going up quite strongly. So I think there will be some quite big ups and downs though longer term holding seems to be favourable for goldGL.

and again go back to my list of most of the UK based gold/silver miners who actually produce-I checked the all time highs and on a base of 2 weeks ago it gave OMI 23x POG 14x AVM 12x PGD 5.5x KGI 5x etc etc down to 7 more..these being the no. of times the high was bigger than the SP two weeks ago.Sorry not had time to update that to now but it is a pointer to where potential is to grow.GL... NB OMI is top of that list...

I hope to stay,I think there can't be much more down here though my buy has given me a hefty loss so far..GL

there's some supposition and quite high risks but see my previous post about the players..the biggest hurdle is still getting a dealer for Dutwa able to pay for a BFS ....statements about x dollars "in the ground" at Dutwa from 2009 onwards blew up, on it being "in the ground"..which the market discounted GL

you've now got a mix of- 1. MP and NC and other new people-high flyers involved withi and without AFE itself 2. Elephant to float with high hopes 3. Coburg in there 4. Dutwa and Mkushi effects GL

Coburg at 55p and 75% spread having dropped back 30% the other day,unchanged so far-watching that one...

its a bit complicated at first reading but either money will be coming to AFE, or if only shares they can fund raise on the back of as I was saying.Life should now go on anyway past next month at the very least.At the most-who knows ? Anyway now instead of a basket case AFE are back in business! GL

and if in fact EC float for a large amount that would be the first part of AFE's "new directions" they talked about ensuring life extension past the running out of capital next month perhaps with fund raising then possible from that backing..and with the MP/NC/Coburg/Dutwa situation given further time to find a dealmaker.GL

amazed at that,Mkushi was once one of AFE's stars of course in fact was called the company maker back about 2006 lol.They might now be a kind of AFE-2 that never was..

yes I'm always looking for the gold at the end of the rainbow and came back here,its giving me another good profit so far though never count anything till yuv cashed it! As I found elsewhere to my cost lol.

you say Elephant Copper is a big company that may be potentially so ,however in the only one ref. on Bloomberg words changed slightly for (c) it says it is a private company from the Br. Virgin Islands- not any key executives recorded, and they were incorporated in 2012 no transactions in last 12 months...Anyway GL here.

there is little more downside here so not much to fear in any eventuality 7p being the base.GL

watched a bit of the debate at parliament,they will bumble on a few days then BO will strike-sounds bad..it is.Whatever our views we aren't consulted.Anyway gold should at least get up a bit on that.Countering this are dribs and drabs about a "better US economy".Yes the East is important but we must view the whole picture.Is that US economy on false pretences with the fiscal cliff where of course they'll move the goalposts again ? Yes having just got back in don't want to rush out,but I'll contiinue as before to carefully take profits when required.I just don't have the luxury of being able to disconnect the sell for a long time having been savaged the last few years in shares.GL

I don't mind big drops here as I've only had losses here since entering at the top.Gold getting hit now following on from US and Asian results.Possible it is a bit dear for most Asians now.The M/E also once actions are over would be a drag.

had to sell my best there,AVM to protect some profits.Can't sell here as not got any profits yet lol.There will be an upsurge though on any actions in M/E not that we're wanting that.Careful again as normally gold settles back after these so watch the news constantly..before this weekend be extra careful as they might move on that over the w/e,it is therefore prudent to consider selling on Frid. afternoon will play it by ear,the longer term is still quite good I think on QE etc. hopefully...GL

my view is unchanged,up till any deal which might improve things quite a bit,this is alike to backing a horse in the St Leger not the favourite either..GL
