We see this with silver-a big rise but those miners-HOC,FRES,AGQ etc aren't going up near as much as that though still quite good-see later with HOC..there's shorting,various bad results and Syrian/QE effects.As always it depends where you put your base-go to iii sectors this is what you get- for 1 week HOC is top mover on my list of 18 UK producers but 14th in theirs including all sizes;however the moves are not much for a week-34 only are above 4% rises;from 150.For 1 month it is far better of course as that goes back to the best times.OMI getting a 50% rise.GL

at least the spread is coming down,it was once 50% now only 12.5%,you won't get serious investors in at 50%.GL

thanks I will add MIRL to my list but AMA isn't yet a producer,I need to be prudent owing to past losses in AIM.I also tend to meep to those ISable and a few I just don't like.Each to their own lol.Certainly past performance isn't a good guide I know. GL

3 top risers in my 18-list are still in order- AVM 107% and ABG plus OMI at 60% up in a month compared to all the rest a bit further back..I hope to rotate these ones as long as they hold up,so now took profits in ABG,got back into AVM and stayed in OMI.Will return to ABG on next profit take whenever.GL

of news to affect gold coming out this week,the Syrian thing pulled gold back a bit.Next comes the QE/not QE I think it will be neither-some QE lol.Finally reality comes with the fiscal cliff! GL

a bit late/early here...on Ichimoku Trader OMI is given a Bull Breakout,was a weak bull since 8 Aug.The 30 year US bond TLT has been a bull since 15 Aug.-bad.Elsewhere ABG AVM KGI AR. are all Strong Bulls though down yesterday.Gold and oil are both down too.GL

away soon,but if you saw my latest post on ABG using my list of up to 18 UK based production gold /silver stocks the best were ABG,OMI and AVM not POG which has not done too well the last month or so.Due to debts,shorts etc.In fact not sure if I'll go in that forseeably because the debt frightens me.Yes AVM has some financing issues too.Which leaves choices from AR. OMI and ABG and KGI,the latter maybe the most dependable for steadiness recently.But you won't get the potentially big rises there possible from OMI or AVM.....AR. and KGI a bit hesitant at times that's another story.Its a duster and elite have commented on both of those on the KGI thread both far more expert than I will ever be.You mentioned AGQ not one I count as a full producer -yet- the YA thing and ball mill issue not helping.YA as you know tend to short in their deals.GL away now for a bit..

yes hahaha most of my posts were on both RRR and AFE each of which fell by about 16 to 1 lol.Happy days! The best growth in the last few weeks has been in the three OMI.ABG and AVM from charts.Compare with my list these were the top ones though the missing one was POG.We know why-poor results losses/debts more than the MCap and a lot of shorting confirmed by someonme over there..you said-"I do not see many short-term opportunities at present,the quick surge in gold miners of the past few weeks could not carry on and on.." exactly correct.I follow funds prices and reports and watching "emerging markets" which are falling like gold did,and will be a happy hunting ground but not for a while till QE or not QE damages it further..also see my recent posts on ABG,that forecast I stick with as to gold gyrations..though the first "up" part might be slower with the Syrian situation slowed too.I wasn't saying OMI would return to 7p but the 10p-12.5p seems a good base at least...GL
