George Frangeskides, Chairman at ALBA, explains why the Pilbara Lithium option ‘was too good to miss’. Watch the video here.
One interesting fact about all this is the amount of money BHP offered back in 2016 of $275M, if you look at the latest presentation SOLG has acquired from Newcrest, BHP and Franco Nevada, yes you have guessed it $275M, so from a PI point of view we are in such a better position than we were in 2016, I would imagine BHP calculated the rough costs to get this through feasibility, at that point they would have then purchased the remaining percentage of ENSA
Well done NM for not going down the BHP route :)
Below is a quick summary of the current Bidding for Noront, this is a copy and paste from ceo.ca (curt2go)
"Original Wyloo came in at 0.315 about May 25th(SP went to 0.37 before BHP). BHP came in at 0.55 60 days later(SP went to 0.58ish during this time as high as 0.62 but that was right before wyloo "offer") , Wyloo came in around 30 days later with their "intent to offer of 0.70, (SP goes to 0.75 then most of its time around 0.80). The timeline for each BUMP seems to be getting shorter 60 days, 30 days now if you were to look real hard the next one should be around 15 days which would put us right about now.. :) and if the SP has told us anything in the past , the next bid will be 0.95ish.... Now this is all just conjecture , just thought I would throw it out there. "
what can clearly be seen is that two companies are interested in the asset, and the share price has nearly tripled, as always if you cant buy an asset make sure your competitor pays top value
Quady you cant even read the link you post correctly, it wasn't for 70% of ENSA, it was for..
70% of Solgolds 85% of ENSA
"An offer by BHP to earn-in to the Cascabel Project, by spending US$275 million to acquire 70% of ENSA out of SolGold's 85%"
Please re read your links carefully, not what you think you read, it was a Bid, but not for the whole of Solgold, it was a bid at the project level
This has been posted on SolGold Ecuador FB page, it gives some insight into the terrain that the Porvenir camp is built on and the surrounding area, reading some of the local comments people are applying for jobs with solgold

Not quite Bozi, its 70% of solgold 85%, which equates to approx 60% of ENSA(Cascabel), and hence they would have been the operators of the concession, for just over $300m, so it wasn't a good deal for either SOLG or Cornerstone at the time
Jerry recent history shows that premiums are possible, if post PFS we get to 45p, then £1 is possible
"BHP said on Tuesday its offer valued Noront at C$0.55 per share, representing a premium of 129% to the firm's closing price on May 21, a day before Wyloo unveiled its proposal."

Thanks for your work on here Redknight, i like this comment
"BHP geologists think this could all be one 'mega 'district bringing all the deposits together. The two best porphyry guys in the world are in the district (ex Rio). It has always been clear BHP are not looking at Alpala alone"
It reminds me of Mining Analyst Brent Cook, he made a comment back in 2017 about Solgolds Cascabel concession
"They have a Porphyry copper district"
