Totally agree dactions. I was expecting more of a reaction in the price today, but on reflection most of the news about the developments in this quarter were already out there. If not revealed explicitly in previous RNSs the reports by Align Research and especially Hardman gave some strong clues about likely revenue and profit growth as a result of all this capacity that they are building. But... ...there are also some very possible surprises to the upside from things that are not included in the analysts figures, including higher utilisation of sawmills (through adding shifts), higher value woods being processed (the market prices of the species in Mozambique range from c $900-$1800 per m3), and production of higher value-added veneers. The RNS did reveal some very good news from the due diligence on WoodBois though in particular the high integrity of the vendors of WoodBois, who are staying on for 3-5 years to run it. Best of all though is the fact that Miles Pelham and team are showing the execution capability that Scolari talked about but never delivered. There appears to be very different future opening up for OBT. I've been in here over 3 years, and done well so far, but now have more confidence in the future than ever - and I'm looking forward to the next update.

gfb The HSBC division that is on the biggest shareholders list is a nominee account i.e. it holds shares for private shareholders like you and and I, who buy shares through HSBC. So I don't see them having any info to share legally with other parts of HSBC. If you look at what Patricia Tsang does, though, she has a advisory role in Hong Kong: https://webb-site.com/dbpub/sfclicrec.asp?p=71158 So (others please advise) I think that means she is likely buying on behalf of a Chinese client (but probably not HSBC Investment Management).

You're right Sam. We have had these before, and this one, citing only "trader chatter", looks to be without any substance. No activity has resulted, and traders wouldn't just chatter about it if they thought it was from a credible source, would they? I hope to be proven wrong, or course, but not holding my breath...

..and it just confirms that OBT have "concessions" not "licences" and are not afftected. I guess if anything it reduces competition - if only in Mozambique.

Interesting to hear this Murphy fella is a serious journalist. IN which case what do we make of this comment: "Yes, im sure they’re will be a request for cash alongside the float" That sounds more like a rights issue, and does not fit with my understanding of the meaning of an "in specie" dividend that Frank speaks of. Thoughts?
